in games workshop's defence they have realized the lacking of true apocalypse profils for armys like chaos and have in the last white dwarf they added a true monster, the deamonic primarch of the world eaters Angorn. his a fullblood monster there would make even titans shiver in their armored hulls not to mention his honor guard of (i think)7-12 chosen blood thisters, orcs got some good deals too best of those i recall of the top of my head was some sort of submarine, so rejoice help is coming
Glad to see your not dead and still making videos. Yes, guard, marines and nids got good stuff, but guess what, everyone else did too. Stompas can be built out of a sector kit. Also, Stompa's are horrible to have against you. I have seen a guy make a fighta-bommer out of an aerosal can. Cloudstike squads are also very hard to beat if used right. The Gauss Pylon is absolutley revolting, 120 inches, str D. Oh and the Plaugereaper doesn't hurt nurgle troops when it blows up, use it on swarm armies.
i think your viewing apocalypse as a tourney style game type... if thats so i agree completely.. however the lads at game design at engineered apocalypse to be a large game that you and friends could play just for fun. so overall i think that apocalypse is just fine for a friendly game 1 weekend but as far a tourney and serious gaming is concerned your correct
Necrons did get screwed, we have NOTHING special besides the pylon... which isnt that great because it cant move. Dont get me wrong its got good range and fucks things over but nothing else
So you liked the rules, liked the concept, liked the new rules for maybe a 3rd of the races, and yet the book is "a piece of shit". WTF? Yeah I agree that the spread of new units is lopsided. So that's one bad aspect, and somehow that means the whole thing is a disaster?
I do agree with you on this one. My Chaos, Necrons, and Orks got screwed. But what I did, is that I bought a Baneblade, and put Chaos marks on it. Well, that's always an option.
Uh, the orks get some of the coolest things yet? One gargantic creature, two titans, one superheavy tank and some sweet ass formations. And now a bit later GW have realesed even more kickass apocalypse datasheets for orks, AND the other races.
For some companies, I would agree, but GW is a good hearted company, they'll hear that he doesn't like the unfairness of this new rulebook, but he still loves the game, so they'll try and fix it up a bit next time, assuming that they see this.
Yaay! more people that think apocalyps is shit. I personally think that moveing a 6000p deathguard is a pain in the ASS! and it gets worse with Imperial Guard or the worst, Horde Tyranids or Orcs.
