yeah, marksmanship is very important.

on ranged weapons and cannons, they improve your mech's aim.

and they increase the chances of critical hits (stronger hits with melees).

always max the marks out to level 5, although it will take quite a while

acually 3 sword slash is good or even more *if you use dual blades* tho.. only if you time it right.. just spamming it will make you die alot but if you know when to use it. you will kinda like insta kill enemy or enemies. but if you are going for 1:1 you shouldnt use it much. but sometimes it has its uses and its useful sometimes but not allways.

most important stats to raise on melee is hp and speed. marksmanship ect are crap. i bet he has raised some ;P later on when speed and hp is maxed u prolly should get EN or something other *useless* some sp can rox too .. lol...

rectifiers can be useful too. heal ur teamies n fill ur sp so u can go melee rampage.

Marksmanship is nowhere near useless. The more marks you have = the more crit you have. While I will admit HP and Speed are important, I'd get my marks to at least 55 before I do anything else.
