Yo Bro, I have to thank you for all your efforts in producing the DJ tutorials. Their the best on YouTube. If I could pay for them I'd play double if I could afford too. I'm looking for DJ work in Tokyo and it's so hard.
Your tutorials helped me see the light on mixing today. I'm an old schooler and I appreciate your Wisdom. If I can help you in any way please contact me. Yo I want to get that MixVibes Controller. I Loved you daughters story. I'm a parent to. Thanks Keep Creating.
do you find it harder to scratch in your tables in the normal position.
Im trying to figure out wheter its easier to put tables 90 Counter Clockwise or regular the way they were designed and the way u use them. Can you please shed some light
Holy crap. Thanks so much, cant thank you more. didnt know that if you had any of the low mid or high turned up extremely high that it distorted the signal.
hi johnathon i was just wondering have you got a hercules mk2 because i was woundering if u can make a video about them because im not the best theres just something wrong

Hi there Ellaskins, Mid frequencies knobs usually work on 1khz / 1.2khz wich is 1000hz / 1200 hz.
A "normal" guy has it's voice around 1khz (1000hz) not 400 or 450 as you said. The mid frequencies knob from a 3 knob's dj mixer NEVER works on 400 / 450 hz's and sa i said, that is not "vocals", it's simply mid/bass frequencies. Anyway, it was just a small repair 'cause i like the way you "teach" in your tutorials. You make it look easyer. Fortunnaly i don't need them but i like watching yours
actually normal voice range is 1-3 kHz, our ears are hyper sensitive to this frequency range. (New born child cry is 3 kHz, and thats our most sensitive frequency)
every video if watched has helped me so much. even just to get to that next level just the smallest amount. after watching ur videos and then having an experiment session myself has made me s much more confident thanx mate champion
the gain (sometimes called trim) is an amplifier that boosts the signal coming directly from the turntable. the signal then passes through the EQ, then to the level faders. the faders can only TAKE AWAY from the signal, not boost it (thats why theyre called 'faders'). set your faders to FULL (10) and adjust the gain so that you get just the littlest bit of red in your meters (in cue mode).
now you know you can slam the fader to 10 and not worry about going too loud. when you go to mix in the next record, before you bring up the fader, set the gain so that the level meters (in cue mode, for that channel) match the first channel. you can drop mix it in, and it will be the same volume. guaranteed!
of course you'll have to fiddle with the master volume a bit to get a comfortable main sound.
Nice video !! just what i needed !!! Thanks very much !!
I know this song !! LOL i love it since i was 13!! lol !!! I am brazilian so i know sho this guy is ! And eventually i had the chance to see hem at stage !! DJ PATIFE !!
Thanks for the reply. I will make sure to check out those videos.
I actually just thought of the question I meant to ask with regard to the mixer.
When playing a song on each deck is it possible to just have for example the beat from turntable A playing with the just the vocals from turntable B just by tweeking the knobs. Is it possible to do this with a mixer ??? Because sometimes I hear Dj's play a song and they mix it with two different beats .... im wondering if this is how they do it.
@ad1585 Whats it called when u repeat a word for example " bi - bitches or mad - madlock or ava - avatar" Whats it called and how do u do it PROPERLY.
I know you just explained a little about these knobs and buttons but I would like to see a video if possible showing the different knobs being used ... I assume the add effects and sounds to the mix correct?? Also ...for someone that is thinking of buying Denon cd players .. what mixer do you suggest for me ???
Thanks for everything ... im glad you make these videos
Ive been watching your videos and noticed that you didnt really use the crossfader to do your mixes, and in one video I believe you actually said "i hate the crossfade" .... I dj for a company that does partys and eventually wanna get my own gear and maybe even do some club stuff ....ive only used mixers that have just the crossfader .... can I do mixes with the other knobs???
so you will explain everything you should explain in this video xDDD

Not true. If a normal guy had a voice around 1khz, we'd all be squeaking. Please check what you write before writing it.
Or, explain better. Because there's no way I know anyone who talks generating sound waves with a frequency of 1khz!

HAHAHA You must be out of your mind! LOL

That's a 1000hz sine wave.
Please do explain how I'm supposed to talk like that! Or, include a Google search string, or a link.
I'm very interested in the topic, so it would be cool to understand. :)
