I concur honestly. Personally, I think the movie would've been better had it been something else entirely. Perhaps Shia LeBouff, or however it's spelled, getting stepped on by Star Scream in the opening credits, both redeming the movie AND having Star Scream do something cool for a change.
I think the whole love story angle was pointless for the film. No one wanted to see it, that I'm aware of, for a love story. Everyone I know wanted to see Optimus and Megatron go toe to toe again.

The movies had their flaws, but the cartoon could barely go an episode without some GLARING animation and story errors.

I have to say in all honesty, with very few exceptions this decade has brought with it some of THE worst movies in film history so far. I actually feel sorry for the current generation & ones to come. I'd be hard pressed it to name more than 10 movies i whole heartedly liked this decade whereas i can probably name at least 50 from a previous decade. That's really sad. I mean you have shit (which is actually awesome) & then you just have shit, majority from this decade fall into the later.

Linkin Park sucks and should stay away from Transformers. We need Heavy Metal for the soundtrack. Bands like Eidolon, Angel Dust, Testament. This song by Lion fits perfect with the new Transformers Movie. The robots are Heavy ass Metal so we need Heavy Metal

The Linkin Park song "New Divide" was really good. It really high up there for representing the realistic Transformers.
But hey Linkin Park should remix the original Transformers theme for the Transformers 3 movie. I don't see any other song other topping "New Divide" other than a remixed original Transformers theme. It must be done by Linkin Park

You could take those movies & change the title & names in the movie & they'd still be the same movies, BUT i guarantee people wouldn't have responded to them so well without the Transformers theme. Transformers is more than just eye popping effects, that's pretty much all people are responsive to in this case & a title that supposedly links it to an already popular franchise

@dave4378 yes i agree. the newer transformers are cool but they do lack one thing....difference, notice how they all are huge and all powerful, well in the movie they all come in different sizes, some big, some small, and some huge beyond belief, and they had different layers of speech.. like blurr for instance hes a sonic super fast guy while braciodeus is a giant houston nasa space station city thats gigantic but hes slower than heck. and what bout the insectabots, dinobots, and other guys

I concur honestly. Personally, I think the movie would've been better had it been something else entirely. Perhaps Shia LeBouff, or however it's spelled, getting stepped on by Star Scream in the opening credits, both redeming the movie AND having Star Scream do something cool for a change.
I think the whole love story angle was pointless for the film. No one wanted to see it, that I'm aware of, for a love story. Everyone I know wanted to see Optimus and Megatron go toe to toe again.
