I love both of these performers, but Rod is a high-energy spas-matic, whereas Stevie is an airy gossamer fairy who wants to be freeee and spinnnn.......The two do not go together at all. This is a terrible, terrible, terrible combination.

This is probably the worst collaborative effort I have seen on YouTube between two artists I absolutely love since that God-awful team-up between Queen and Elton John doing "Bohemian Rhapsody". Stevie seems like she doesn't want to be there and it seems to me she's really flat. No energy. Nevertheless, I'd rather listen/see this than most the crap that passes for music today.

Rod is singing off a teleprompter. He doesn't even know the words to Leather and Lace. He butchers it at 7:47. How fricking embarassing. Love you buddy, but if that's the best you can do, plesse hang it up. Stevie can still perform at a high level. If I would have paid good money for that concert, I would have been pissed. Getting your hair all spiked and wearing shiny gold suits doesn't hack it anymore!

Also, I admit that Stevie looks bored & tired, but what the heck, this woman is performing 40 years after she first started, what do you expect??? There aren't too many singers now-a-days whom can claim a carreer length like that, most of the rest of them hung up their microphones decades ago. Give the woman a break, if she looks jaded on stage, she has earned it, such as at 2:15 when she misses the microphone, but that makes this performance so GREAT!!! It is off-the-cuff, and personable.

OK people, lets get a few things straight. These are 2 of the best singers ever, they both have their own lives, romances, families, they DO NOT have to have chemistry on stage, they are past that, both are around age 60. We are very fortunate that they did this tour so that we, as fans, have one last chance to see them both live, a very rare treat. They both have so many albums, so many accolades, such huge resumes, that most modern performers seem infantile by comparison.

@SandyMac actually, it was the other way around. For whatever the reasons were, Rod wanted to do Leather and Lace with her when the tour was in the planning stages (as you can see in the announcement Ellen video), and she was initially reluctant about it. This is why no duets were done in the first few week or so of the tour.

Rod did say they were going to "attempt" to sing a song they had rehearsed that day, they should have rehearsed a lot more before attempting to do this live. Sorry but this is a train wreck, actually like watching that old classic clip with the woman (Stevie) tied to the tracks, desperate to escape the oncoming slaughter via loco (Stewart). They are both great artists and very talented but they do NOT work well together.
