How did you do the grading in final cut... I have also the 7D and the 50mm 1.8 Lens and final cut. but how did you make the cool colors what effekt is it in final cut ?
I noticed there are some lines showing up in the video...like it is a little choppy, your video at the beach doesn't have it!!! What did you do to correct this? Was this something in the conversion process or something, because I am having these problems and am trying to get the solution. Whatever it is, I can tell you figured it out, so I thought I'd ask. Love the videos....LOVE THEM!!!
@TheAcoustis Thanks for watching! Not sure which lines you're talking about because I can't see them.. however there are a few parts where it is a little 'jerky' or 'shaky' but that is just from going handheld with no image stabilisation. I had a look at your 7D video and can see the choppiness, and it looks to me like you were shooting with an incorrect shutter speed. When shooting 60fps, your shutter should be 1/125 sec for the smoothest motion. Do you remember what it was?
Yeah, I had the right shutter... but I got some lines and I don't know where they're coming from, it's driving me insane. Watch your video, the little girl between 49 and 57 seconds, when you focus in you can see them shoot across the footage....what is that and do you know how to get rid of it, it is gone in your Port Willunga video....that was crisp and clear as can be (AND IN LOWER LIGHT AS WELL), and your lens is the same....which is why I am confused...
@TheAcoustis It's most likely just the youtube compression. I can't say I've noticed anything like you're describing on my full res 7D videos. Youtube always degrades the quality. The light level shouldn't make a difference - I was around the same f stop in this vid and the Pt Willunga one.

@BeanpoleProductions Thanks so much! I just got this camera a couple weeks ago and am still testing it out and getting used to it. How do you get such a shallow depth of field? I have the 18-135mm lens

Great video! What file type do I need to export it to in order to have 1080 available on youtube?
DonnyLB 1 year ago
@DonnyLB Thanks! Just make sure the export has a resolution of 1920x1080. Mp4, avi, mov, they'll all do it.

@DonnyLB For a shallow depth of field you need a wide aperture. In this video I was mostly at f1.8
