i could imagine one day one motor burns out while in flight next thing you know your holding your hands out trying to catch it with out hurting yourself
@PyroBassFisherman Yes, I've seen the Air Hogs one, and I'm thinking of buying it. But I still like this one better because it looks a lot more real than the Air Hogs one does. I've seen a few other ones out there, but none of them look as real as this one does.
Also, hopefully in the next month or so, I'll make a video with about 10 different RC helicopters (including this one), showing how much of a load they can lift.
@theqwertymaster7 No it flies straight fine, I'm just not that good at flying it. I was more concerned with trying to make it hover, and trying to keep it away from the walls and from the big fans on the ceiling.
@BeanMeister22 I know this is a stupid question but will the blades hurt you if the touch you? and what is a safe distance from your face when flying these?
@MrGkid5000 Well they are plastic, and although they probably wouldn't cut your finger off, they might be able to draw blood, and they certainly could take an eye out. At slow speed they just hurt a little when they hit you, but it's the higher speed that will do the most damage. Any RC helicopter has the potential to be a bit twitchy, so I'd never fly them within 4 or 5 feet of my face, and a 10 foot range is better, but I'm not sure what the safety info included with the instructions says.
@BeanMeister22 LOL i dont think that would really help, BananaHobby's search feature is pretty shit LOL. I typed in f-16, and it came up with nothing.
BTW, are they reliable? I have heard that they purposely miss out parts, so you have to buy them over, and that the boxes look like somebody played hockey with them. Also, when you try to contact them, you always get no reply. Is this true?
@Mexicanboy387 Yes, it is easier that a normal helicopter; very similar to flying a tandem helicopter like a Chinook or a Sea Knight. I have a video where I fly this outside, and it did pretty good even in the wind; and I am still not very good flying RC helicopters.
@bmwm20b20 This was our first time flying it, and we were very new to RC helicopters in general as we came from an RC plane background. All in all, it could have been a lot worse when you consider that this warehouse has high volume air moving ceiling fans covering most of the ceiling, and if you watch my other videos filmed there, you can see how bad the air currents really are. I have to wait for summer weather for some better flight video of this and of the 15 other RC helicopters I have.
@theloathlydaddy Thanks for stopping by Steve, this thing is pretty cool, and I have been searching for one of these long before I ever had an RC helicopter. As a Marine, I have closely watched the development of the real V-22 Osprey, and it is an impressive piece of machinery when you see it in person.
@BeanMeister22 bean what branch of the military would you need to be in to fly one of these? army navy or airforce? i was thinking navy but iv been working hard and going on 7nth year of air force rotc so meh >.> but i realy want to become a pilot for one of these. joining the military after i finish college
@callingmar11 The US Marine Corps flies most of these. They are a replacement for the CH53 Super Stallion heavy lift helicopter. I have flow in both the Osprey, and the Super Stallion, and the Osprey is VERY cool.
@BeanMeister22 I always prefered the CH-53 (especially the MH-53 variant), it is sad to see them replaced with something so technical. Planes are becoming less characterised and I dread to think what the Joint Strike Fighter is going to be like..
They are not replacing the CH-53 where do you guys get this misinformation I would hope that someone that flew in an Osprey might have a clue about that.
I have flow on Osprey's about 1000 damn hours, it is replacing the CH-46E in the MC and the MH-53's In the Air Farce. (not misspelled)
The Osprey is a great plane and it is the next generation of aircraft. While it has some issues it really is bad ass to fly on.
@BeanMeister22 is it a good fly ? i want to buy this baby aswell maybe mod it a bit, is it worth the money ?(i prolly have to pay double for it cus i live in the middle of nowhere)
@spartanbballer1 It looks fun, but this one was a little hard to fly. When I have time, I will post a video of it crashing during a landing, and it lost a tail fin which I still need to glue back on.
That is awesome. Man that is sweet. Jim, thank god you sad that because after 30 second's Mine died. Flying it out side. I couldn't wait for Austin to get home. So I de boxed it and flew it. It hit the tree and bounced to the ground. Would of been fine. If the land lord would not of been mowing the grass with his big cab mower. I have chopper mulch. I am going to pick up one just like it. So I can do Spider VS Chopper. God bless you and your family. I miss that chopper all ready!
I tried to get a friend of mine to fly his into a ceiling fan for a video, but he would not do it. Later today, I will post a contest video where I will give away a Mad Hawk 300 helicopter, and maybe even a Chinook too.
@Bl4zz3r Yes, but I think it is more the potential for video making that has fueled this RC phase I am in. I just bought an RC battle tank, I hope to post a video of it in a day or so...they never had cool toys like this when I was a kid; good thing I am still a kid:)

A V-22 Osprey is ALMOST similar to the CH-47 Chinook only because they both have 2 rotors and doesn't require tail rotors
