  • o.o wait i always thought yoroshiku onegaishimasu meant nice 2 meet u? thats wat my sensei taught me in the 1st year of japanese

  • @scoobydoo154 No Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu means "I hope to build a good relationship with you," a common saying amongst japanese people who meet first or to fellow co-workers that you first meet. Hajime Mashite is Nice to meet you.

  • @MaskedLok ouh i know hajime mashite means its nice 2 meet u D: I was taught that with the genki book 1st editition DX and with the 2nd edition it also means nice 2 meet u as well o.o. And I even asked my sensei but she said it means the same thing then idk she mummbled on and on

  • Kagura from Inuyasha uses yo and shes not a cool guy

  • (Sumi-ma-sen‘ ) = 済みません= I'm Sorry ,Excuse Me,Pardon Me, (polite)

    (Sui-ma-sen) = すいみません=I'm Sorry (slang but polite)

    (Su-man) = すまん=I'm Sorry (slang informal)

    (Gomenasai) = ごめんなさい= I'm Sorry (polite)

    (Hontou Ni, Gomenasai ) = 本当に御免なさい= I'm Really Sorry

(Gomen) = ごめん= I'm Sorry, Forgive Me. (Only with friends and and people you know)(slang not Formal)

  • your such a good teacher, nice work

  • @ToxicMarkerz there's no D in gomenasai. And it means im sorry...

  • YOU'RE SOOO CUTE!! >.<

  • why do some words end with "u", when you don't pronounce them?

  • Konichiwa .

  • My name is moshe....but it is pronounced moshi. so i guess to say "moshi moshi. Ore moshi.

  • in the spelling you forgot the miniature "TSU" between the ko and ni

  • Hey, thanks for the short lesson!

  • Thanks for the update, Ken ^^ xxxx

  • boooooooooobiiiiiiiiie buuuuuuungalooooooo!!

    dat so funny XD

  • A couple suggestions:

    4)Oi [おい] - Hey!

And, since you pointed out that Yo is a particle, it might be worth mentioning that Ya (not drawn out) is a particle, too. I've usually seen it used in incomplete lists, like so:

Kai moto wa gyuunyuu ya ocha nado kudasai.

    This should be:

Please go buy milk, tea, and the rest.

Forgive me if I messed up the verb form, it's been awhile.

I digress. Thanks for the videos, they are always entertaining, and I'm going to fill out that survey now.

  • cercl

  • i did the survey i hope u can read it xD

  • Haha I like the Koncha example ^_^

  • ひさしぶり...Thanks for the video! Personally, I like the top ten list approach. It groups things nicely so you can remember them. ^^

  • You're back! Woop Woop!

    :D

  • Lol I'm writing this all down and I was still writing down Konbanwa when u said 5 and I was like "What?!" >.<'

  • Keep up the good work, I love watching your videos.

Also, I guess Rosetta Stone didn't teach you how to count? ;)

  • I thought it was like this: you say 'konnichiwa' or 'konbanwa' but you write it as 'こんにちは' and 'こんばんは' (so konnichiha & Konbanha) ?? (& srry for my bad english)

Anyway great video ^^ Doumo~ hard gay desu~ XD Perfect example for doumo :')

  • @ShelseaX The particle wa is written as は

  • @ShelseaX は is a technically わ which is a particle for marking the topic. Not 100% sure why it's done this way but I believe they do it identify particles easier.

  • Ohaiyou*

  • Hey ken-chan! ^^ Long time no video. x) By the way, I thought it was "Osu" not "Ossu." A friend that has learned japanese told me ;p. and a tip; In your video it's "Ohaiyo" and in your description it's "Ohayo". You might wanna change that :p. Anyways, Awesome that you're back :D. and your cat is SO cute~! And Yoroshiku mainly means: Nice to meet you. Anyways, nice video, ken-chan! :D. Jya ne!
  • You are the best Japanese teacher I have had so far XD

I think the best way to learn a language is by learning from videos like yours.

    You are really funny!!!

Im glad you´re not dead and had good excuses, usually people just start making things up...oh wait..

  • I like the way u make ur videos, too bad this one had some mistakes that u should really not miss. Xd Demo ganbatte yo! Im sure ur better than me still. T_T

  • Welcome back after all these many weeks ;D <3

  • I totally missed you!

I have a question for you!

You said you used Rosetta stone to learn Japanese. So what did you use to help you learn the kanji? are there any work books, or tools that you would recommend ? (I am sure you are going to get this a lot) and also You are kawaii! <3

  • @Evenoix I only recommend one book for learning kanji, and that, James Heisigs remembering the kanji, love it. You can read more about it on my blog i wrote a review on it.

  • You win sir! Just thought you should know...

  • woohoo another video! :D

  • yay finally more vids. :) Keep em coming Ken!

  • AWESOME video Ken! You really know how to keep us entertained. Your videos aren't boring like most of the other ones that teach Japanese. :-)

  • GLAD YOUR BACK KEN, YOUR VIDEOS ARE AWESOME!!!!

  • おはいよ OHAIYO??? 間違ってるよ!!

  • ichi ni san yon go roku nana hachi kyu jyu :D

  • Lmfao!!! This was hilarious i loved it:) It's about time you made a new video!! Glad you are back, you are always so funny.

  • oi ken, dude, I keep checking out your vids and have found one thing in common, you make this stuff interesting with the comedy. I know its pretty obvious and doesnt need to be said, but keep it up and keep the comedy coming, I ''lol'' at like every one of your vids. A good teacher knows how to keep his students interested. so props on that.

  • @theophilis hahaha Thanks so much! Thats a killer compliment. ^^

  • haha i only knew half the words XD

  • hey you're missing the number four in the description... lol :)

  • finally you are back! nice to see u again. and good lesson.

  • The 10 Points are all mine... 4 is missing.

  • @WolfHavenXIII We have a winner! Actually I'm really surprised nobody noticed my stupidity until now. lol

  • @KenKyanon Yeah I was surprised too. It took me a minute to figure out what counting to 10 had to do with anything.

  • i like your videos,

    usefull? maybe

    entertaining? for sure

  • Yay!! Ken-san hasn't died!! I'm so glad you're back on the airwaves. I missed your vids. So what's next? Goodbyes?

  • @JadeLondonStudios hahah I think i do that every month already.. but not sure yet, gonna take a look at the survey results and go from there. ^^

  • @KenKyanon Hooray! I look forward to it!

  • I just read your bio. Rosetta stone, Is it any good ?

  • @nielswolfgang

i know this comment wasn't directed at me, but I was suckered into buying it..and it's very ineffective. if you want to bore yourself to death then by all means... but make no mistake learning a language is serious shit. it takes devotion -- a drastic change in lifestyle to truly be successful. check out ajatt(dot)com if you're serious about doing this. if you're not serious then forget about it all together.
