  • I'm struggling with how some of these guys look a bit chubby but I know every last one would physically dick on me.

  • The royal marines say if you have a basic fitness level, Able to perform under pressure and a positive mental attitude you will be fine. What alot of people forget is that they help you become more and more fit, so if you are worried about not being a "superman" then don't worry because they turn you into that at the end :)

  • why am i still at university! i would love this shit if it didnt involve killing...

  • HOLY SHIT, 105,000TH VIEWER BITCHES

  • traceurs > royal marines

  • If you pause at 8:38 the shot is quite impressive

  • Hang on, how did an inspirational video like this turn into a race hate thing!? FFS some people need to start getting out the house a bit more, or take up free running or join the Royal Marines.

  • do you know about US Marines got kicked by the world clergyman?

  • explosive power will always help your tricking/fighting /parkour/freerunning. just always train strength but NEVER neglect cardio/flexibility etc.!!!

  • Are you people mental??? The U.S. and British arent killing innocent people in afghan!!!! Yes we are working together, but marines definetely wouldnt such a thing. There are these people called TERRORISTS, and we are trying to get rid of the TERRORISTS. Not kill CHILDREN. Killing CHILDREN doesnt even get corrupt politicians payed.

  • 0:25 it's jermaine!!!!!!!

  • Royal marines killing afghan children since 2001!

  • @sumala321

    Actually that's the americans.

  • @sumala321 why >?royal marines r in afganistan too how do u know americans r the only one ?man u racist bitches need to get another hooby seriously

  • @yandykun Wtf are you talking about? That made no sense at all. And your definition of racism is just tragic. Learn what words mean, and learn how to speak.

  • @sumala321 first of all we r not speaking we r typing comments.second this is youtube i can type however the fuck i want.third: i called u racist cuz we all know how much british hate americans.if americans r killing inocent people in afganistan whats the excuse for royal marines ?they r there too doing the same job and wow all the fault goes to americans.come on tell me u dont hate americans cuz your comment appears to say completely the opposite

  • @yandykun Wow! your last comment was actually more understandable.

  • @yandykun um, not putting you down or anything but RACism corresponds to a RACE of a people. The U.S. is not a race of people, it's many different races of ethinic background from all over the world. There's no such thing as the American ethnic race. There are africans, mexicans, oriental, whites etc etc. Sorry, no American

But i do get what you're saying...

  • @yandykun damn straight

  • @sumala321 The Taliban, killing Afghan children since 1996. Royal Marines, freeing the Afghan people from the oppressive Taliban regime in 2001. Don't talk out your ass please.

  • @sumala321 My pastor's son is a Marine and was on guard duty one evening when a high ranking officer was on base. An Afghan teenager came close to the gate. He spoke into a cellphone and an RPG came flying in our of nowhere, barely missing it's target, the officer. That is what our Marines are faced with on a daily basis. We are willing to live in peace with all people. Unfortunately, Radical Islamists and the Taliban aren't. So, collateral damage is all part of keeping the extremists at bay.

  • @johnnyburgoyne Oh yes, alibaba muhammad il`jabir wants to bomb, and hijack your freedoms. Dangerous terrorists bomb your country everyday, don`t they. I find it odd that terrorists managed to drive some planes into 2 huge steel, reinforced buildings,(A plane did not even hit the third!) so it collapsed in free fall IN its own footprint. And they have not done anything that is even remotely close since then. Do you really think the security in America is so great? It`s all for profit my friend.

  • Royal Marine Commando+Parkour= The closest thing to a British Ninja anyone will ever get.

  • haha im not surprised parkour up their ass!! hahaha =]

  • damn these men are amazing that was some hardcore shit major respect to them

  • go vid watch my vid is called parkour jam sesson by parkour jockeys

  • I LOVE PARKOUR!!!!!

  • parkour marines, unstoppable

  • haha, they shouldve gotten daniel ilabaca and ryan Doyle in there.

but there not with uff are they?

  • 0:25, the Finnish number 1, "Spiderman" Perttu :p

  • Damnit... I wish obstacle courses like these were popular and easily accessible by the public :( I'd pay some good money to get to run these courses.

  • @gnredbull if you're a brit go to your local Navy careers office and say u want a shot at the Royal Marines PRMC (potential Royal Marines course)

  • yhh sure m888 anyone who is a athlete or a mad man not every healthy person could do this lol u joker

  • Practicing Parkour will get one just as strong and athletic as a Royal Marine? Must continue training!

  • both in mind and body

  • more like britain rules

  • This makes a lot of sense. When the commandos were formed back on about 1940, all sorts of skills, from poachers (shooting) to Shangai policemen (unarmed combat) were brought in. The parcours guys are great - why not!

  • theres still an infantry unit called The Poachers in the army, maybe a sign of some connective history there. RM fuckin rule.

  • @fisiu08 The Poachers are the 2nd battalion of the Royal Anglian Regiment, my local infantry regiment. the 1st battalion are called the Vikings

  • I wouldn't like to clean the boots and the weapon afterwards.

  • ......

  • Can an American citizen become a royal marine, assuming they obtain a UK citizen ship? it just sounds so much more prestigious the royal marines, rather than THE marines...

  • become a canadian citizen, and then you can apply to be a UK Royal Marine.

  • Awesome!

  • Yes you jsut need to live in the UK for 4yrs then you can get UK citizenship, then apply, but if your able to get a passport from a commonwealth country like cannada you can join imedietly, so if your grandparents are cannadia/australian etc get ther passport then go join. I hope that makes sense if not PM me.

  • hi, im trainin for the Royal Marines at the moment and the thing we pride our selves on most is out history. little known fact, the first recorded shots fired in the American War of Independence were fired by His Majesty's Marine Forces(now the Royal Marine Commandos).

  • Well clearly it doesnt matter who struck first, but rather who landed on top in the end. America rules. :P

  • sorry mate, didnt mean to sound like i was boastin or anythin, we're not about all that shit. just thought i'd share somethin few people know about the bootnecks(royal marine commandos)

  • @jesseSager123 you can either become a canadian citizen or else a british citizen.Pass their evil exams and inform yourself in the job.Or else you can simply go U.S navy seals there or U.S marines there also quite amazing.

  • HAHAHA feels like i've got a fat kid, and im giving him a piggy back xD

  • @Horizons04 AND he's helping himself chocolate =)

  • im an american but even I know that you dont fuck with the royal marines

  • Awesome! What an amazing experience! And you guys were really honest in those interviews. Nice one, much respect.

  • sticky was so bullshitting to get more time on camera lol

  • marines! aka our spartans!!

these guys are top class!! i can never achieve their fitness level, no one can. only a few selected people will achieve it and i take off my hat to them!

  • if you are of sound health anyone can achieve it. It's just that mental determination alot of people lack. But yes the royal marines deserve some serious respect.

  • @gerbilfaceman booooooring!

  • Well you've got it wrong, you need to start from your self, you need to change your "I can never achieve" to "I WILL, I WANT!" Then you will be able to do it, the course is self is test of your determination, if you are not determined you will fail.

    It's a state of mind!

  • The marines arn't about fitness, anyone can be fit. They pride theirselves on their acclaimed state of mind and brotherhood.

  • I have to agree with mythbusters 246. A sniper could use parkour to their advantage massively in the right conditions.

  • also to other soilders, especially battle in urban areas

  • Leafy lane! Honking!

  • 军训?

  • Mythbusters246 its rlly hard for them to move that fast when they have a backpack and a wepon

  • I know its hard. but lots of training would be possible to happen.

  • yeah if they would learn like wallruns , vaults ( like the gate vault the guys creatively used ) and of course a roll , and just that general fast flow of movement . they would be elite soldiers unchallenged by anyone on land /. in an urban environment :)

  • I suppose if you keep training you'll get used to it. ^_^

  • I think the marines should learn parkour as they can move around the battlefield easier. Especially for snipers.

  • the amount of training necessary is nowhere near worth it for something that could easily lead to accidents and broken bones and there's little benefit. you can't run about like an idiot on a battlefield or you'll stray into an ambush. if you're under fire its better to have both feet on the ground and be able to run fast than to waste time jumping around and making yourself a bigger target.

  • theres a reason why the royal marines are the best

  • cool videos two passions of mine combined i like!

  • hard work !!

    GOOOOOOOD GUYS

    good good good

  • hes master the guy win a chellenge .!!!

    nice respekt from germany

  • i cant wait!!!!! i hopefully start training in september for the marines.

  • Good Luck Dude

  • This july for me - US Marines though. Best of luck to you man!

  • yeh you 2

  • that was my corporal at the beginning..cpl twiggs..hoofing guy

  • @icedtl good luck mate!!! hope u get in!!

  • wow! I wish I had the opportunity to train in those conditions ! I mean in the city I live people don't give a crap about sports. So we don't have many facilities and conditions to train and stuff...anyway, awesome video! :D

  • Just move?

  • would be a solution...:) but I'm "always looking for a new challenge" 1:09 lol...

  • that underwater tunnel... holy shit man, that would kill me

  • 2:20 , not sure but think that's the guy who won the barclycard freerunning championship ...

  • nope

  • wow that was awesome

  • u should get them 2 freerun now.. lol

  • LOL 5:43 to 6:02 is funny as fuck! they should join the marines looks like they have what it takes

  • qualittty

  • That's very interesting, especially in light of the fact that parkour, as invented by David Belle's father, was intended as army training obstacle course, developing fluid movement and quick thinking.

  • David Belle's father did not invent parkour, David Belle himself invented it. He was largely credited as the founder of parkour. His military training and early athletic, climbing, gymnastic, and martial arts training acted as the foundations for the discipline he has developed. Free running. His father Raymond Belle and brother Jeff Belle have been both highly skilled rescuers in the French military " fire " service.

  • emagine them lot in the royal marines goning to iraq, running up into windows and flying over walls lol the iraq's will think thier gods have just terned against them lol

  • My thoughts exactly. We should train our armys to do parkour.

  • In spite of the humor, it's true. It's not practical thinking they're going to do dash vaults in full gear, but they would definitely gain an edge against the enemy.

  • i was actually thinking about this...like extremly great freerunners joing the army or marines..i thought they'd be like ninjas in china or something seriosly

  • The army should make a commando unit specifically trained in this lol

  • They arent any fitter than the Marines, have you seen what the guys in Iraq have to wear? Its like..body armour and helmet and carry a gun plus a few 100 rounds of ammo, 2 days water, emergency rations..

Trust me, you aint flying over any walls when you are carrying 80lbs of kit, it would be like trying to do Parkour with a 12 year old kid strapped to your back!!

  • if u train hard enough anything is possible

  • and if you do enough roids yeah sure!

  • for you maybe...for others no.

  • That's true, but I do know guys in the army who have been in battle before who have told me the parkour mindset is very applicable to them. Parts of the Army have also done Parkour classes/sessions so, they are thinking there's something to gain

  • 80lbs lol and rest i was over in 2006 and we was carrying 140+lbs

  • Per Mare Per Terram

  • very very big respect!!!!

  • BIG RESPECT

  • whats is paras im confused :S

  • the paras are a section of the army, short for paratroopers, basically they jump out of planes and shoot people ;)

  • too add too that they are usually elites of the elites.

caz they've got to get behind enemy line.

  • im so jealous

  • wow... Even livewire almost died... And he climbs walls in a handstand >_> lol. Well everything takes a different type of strategy and energy I suppose... Cool vid.

  • I had to do the assault and endurance course for my Potential Officer's Course. Let me tell you: It's the conditions that make it tough, not the actual exercise itself. Heavy boots, heavy clothing, extra weight, rifle, a full meal consisting of potato and stodge crammed down 15 minutes earlier and you're already sore from the beasting you got in the morning. In trainers I can bang out 6 miles in under 40 minutes easily but I nearly died. I didn't even have the webbing and rifle to contend with.

  • lol thats badass. I hope I get the chance to do some cross training with you guys, I'm a US Marine but this shit looks like fun damn! Semper Fi guys.

  • thats what i like seeing, some unity like that.

  • para,para in the sky!

there living proof that shit can fly

    royal marines commando!!!!

  • tushay comrade!

  • both marines and paras are awesome.

  • marine, marine in a boat,

i never knew that shit could float!

    paras!!!!

  • Ah the endurance course.. its been ten years and i still have fucking nightmares about it. ;)

  • Royal marine? avete superato la prova figaggine?...chi sa capirà!

  • dat is pretty cool! Parkour and Military combined is just awesome!

  • Erm... check part 1? The Marines do this a lot, when a new way of extreme physical training comes along- usually martial arts orientated (although Parkour is obviously useful too) they try their hand at learning it and processing the lessons into Marine training.

  • They should have at least made the Marines do Freerunning, instead of making the Parkour guys do Marines training the whole time...

It made the whole piece feel like propaganda targeted at recruiting Urban Free-Flowers to join the Military... Especially the sequence centered around 2:11

  • This is PART 2 Part 1 The Marines train with the Parkour guys

  • Check part 1

  • but remember ther carrying 150lb so its a bit more intence

  • It's easy? So your a fucking Super-Marine? Ok. I'd like to see you do it in under 20:00.

  • endurance stamina fortitude

  • the did ... part 1..

  • Well said :D

  • that was a great video representation of parkour. Its great to see how parkourists and marines share a similar connection, and also sheds light on this great sport. Parkour ftw!!

  • parkourist=traceur

    please use the right terminology

  • please don't be pedantic!

    FACE!

  • Parkour is a military course.

  • this vid was intense. i would like to try eventually even tho i know its crazy hard

  • when their going through the tunnels n shiz, iv been there =] done that =] wickedd

  • LOL at 3:24 :). What a guy.

  • parkour rulz!!

  • SPIDEY FTW! :D

Finnish acent can still be heard.. is it accent or what the hell? I dunno, sorry ppl :D

  • oh yeah! perttu mäkinen is there! :D / jeah! Perttu mäkinen on tuolla :D

  • i want to be a marine but it looks well tuff just starting to get fit for it.. ile give it a year of getting fit and then see if i got what it takes

  • who are these guys that just came in and did the challenges

  • Ez, Livewire, Spidey and Sticky.

  • respect for both the RMs and the others!

  • haha 'the best thing ill take away with me is this hat' - what a joker!!

but seriously the commando traing looks fucking difficult, and the 30 miler will be fucking insane. good luck to everyone attempting it.

  • aysh man its hard. my mate just passed out as a royal marine commando. people die on the thiry miler almost every year. miles away from hospitals and you cant drive an ambuilance in there. royal marines are the most tough force around

  • no they dony. ive been a bootneck for nearly 6 yrs, only heard of one person dying on it since ive been in. stop exagerating you loser

  • haha ok.

    kindest reguards

    loser

  • lol, go and do SAS trial course now some people die from that...

  • that is quite intense lol

  • I was one of the ones who took part and then went back again to do it again but for our own production. It IS tough but is all about switching your mind off to the cold, wet and misery to just churn it out because the feeling of elation at the end is awesome. The Commando's who took part are all PTI's and were constantly encouraging us all the way. They're now our best mates. Top guys for sure.

  • the royal marine right at the start of the vid is the instructor that talks you through the 'get fit to apply' section on the royal marines website! What a hero! Can't wait to get my green lid!!!

  • i really want to join, its a family tradition to be in the forces, but i am really bricking it about the speed march, i reckon ive got a state of mind, but im still going to work on my endurance, congratulations to anyone whos completed the training, and anyone else going in, good luck

  • the marines run 30 miles with very heavy packs and hardly and rest , and thats only one of the 4 commando tests! ive passed the royal marines selection course and i start training in about a month or so!

  • Well done on passing the PRMC. How challenging was it? Did you manage to perform the required press-ups/sit-ups etc?

I have mine in one month.

  • i have mine in 7 days !!!!!!!!! im bricking it lmaoooo

  • How good is you fitness? Can you perform all of the required number of Press-ups / Sit-ups etc?

  • Someone is talking bollocks because the recruits are only allowed to do these tests after a set period of training. ;)

  • completely wrong

  • Very good, but I hope that in future there should never be needed wars

  • thats nothing m8, I do 22 mile runs for a buzz on a saturday night.

  • Pointless post!

  • Your point?

  • USMC - united states marine core = a bunch of undertraind faggots.

  • wow... go fuck yourself man. seriously. they risk their lives.

  • wtf

    uncalled for

  • Brit reporting in here. Giggles is NOT representative of the people in the UK. Just so you yanks don't get the wrong idea.

  • True, also funny he cant spell, ie. USMC is actually United States Marine Corps.
