  • these church was built in the 4th century

  • @TewaheDo21

No they were not. They were built during the Zagwe dynasty in the 12th century.

  • @ethi0nz And, they weren't built, they were carved out of a mountain.

  • GOD SAVE THE ONLY TRUE FAIT ORTODOX CRISTIANITY

  • knits templar? did they do similar churches in Europe?

  • would someone be able to tell me about the opening song on this video, it is a man calling out some kind of prayer - i would love to know what it is and how I could her more of this - it is touching something in me.

  • @baawuffwuff It is a more of a begging than a prayer. They are actually asking for food or money from him (the singer). Then they are thanking and prasing him. They are member of a tribe called lalibela in Ethiopia. And for reasons I don't really know, most members of that tribe beg. Usually very early in the morning. I dont know where you can find more of it. Probably in a documentary. Actually in the song the singer is prasing the begger back and saying how beautiful the voice was.

  • thanks for that Zcoolaidguy. I have visited Lalibela in Ethiopia in 2008, fel in love with the place. Would love to go back some day. the music of Ethopia facinates me also.
