A person can come up with the best ideas, but if not enough people (ie Congress) agree, then the idea will not be carried out. I've seen Niall Ferguson's PBS series, about Chimerica, The Assent of Money. I thought it was very good, but painted a scary picture.  I missed the beginning parts of the series, I tuned in too late, so I went to PBS's website to watch the beginning portion. I ended up rewatching the whole thing, but I found that many of the scary, FACTUAL points Niall made were EDITED OUT of the version on the website. No joke. They gutted it.
