I bought Jak X and the same thing effed up, so I bought a new copy of Jak X. Works perfectly and beat it completely.

the autosave problem was only on early copies, buy a greatest hits version to be safe.

it destroyed the memory card in some cases

@PatHelmsleyisback oh wow. didn't know about that. That's pretty crazy. I believe it tho cuz like I said in this vid, the game wouldn't save. I probably was lucky cuz I was running this on my PS3. Maybe if I ran it on a PS2, it would have destroyed the memory card like it did with you.

@PatHelmsleyisback u have the cd right? doesn't it have that red and white "Playstation 2" logo on the bottom of the cd label? that should mean that it's the Greatest Hits version.

@ahrims7 That woulda been pretty cool, altho maybe that would hindered the focus of the game a bit. But yea, some on-foot stuff woulda been great, cause then it would have felt more like a jak and daxter kinda game.
