  • The way you're talking just makes me think of another comment about a drinking game, I can't help but laugh.

    Sorry

  • you say advance like adVANCE!

  • you spent 50 dollars on a japanese text based adventure game? :o

  • Wasent this released in eu? I think i remember an ad for it. I could be wrong.

  • 8 minutes and not a single real review of the system. More like a glorified unboxing. The wonderswan has tons of great games for it and I prefer its look and sound.

  • how the hell is that razor thin

  • I saw one of these in a local store, actually.

  • Blood type... Creepy. And I dont know my blood type. :L

  • subbed

  • they made english game (2 digimon games xD)

  • Haha it asks for your blood type? XD

    that's amazing :P

  • it hilarious how americans love to touch exotic boxes with their hands while making "tap tap tap" noices with their fingers. salad fingers style.. ahah its very funny.

  • I thought they spoke icelandic

  • Wow you're retarded dude.

  • The only other comment to have on this is the Wonderswan Color had, at least in my opinion a strange or bad design flaw. They tinted the screen blue, all of them. Yet if you emulate the games or play them on wonderswan crystal (which I do have as well) the color is much more clear/vibrant due to it not all trying to be leaned towards blue. Why did they do this, I have no idea.

  • Guilty Gears!!! Is on this! Best reason to get this Its also probably the best GG game on a handheld... That and the style of it is verynice it's mostly in english.... do a bit ,=more reasearch buddy.

  • there are games in english it is just u never did research did u?

  • no pingas

  • @lilscarecrow2 your gay

  • @LordMutilation your mama luigi

  • @lilscarecrow2 FUCK YOU YOU FUCKIN CATNIGGER

  • @LordMutilation now you've done it...mothers are larry good now to the powder place

  • @lilscarecrow2 dr. robotnik andy milonakis, a bag of peas, 2 discarded tissues, and 4 rows over on the jeopardy board

  • yeah pingas

  • 4:29 I didn't know that Captain Hindsight worked for Bandai. XD

  • I heard that the link port can be linked to certain Japanese Digimon Digivices, is that true? (If anyone knows what the hell im talking about)

  • @MegaBlue3 Yep it's true through the link port on the side it has two ways to connect. With Digital Monsters Ver. Wonderswan it came with an adaptor that snapped on there to connect a link piece to connet to the two prongs of metal on digivices used for battles, to link them for games. The second way is a straight link cable. Connect a link cable to a wonderswan and on the D3/D-Ark (don't remember if the D-Scanner had one) but push the slot open and connect to use it. Yep

  • Why the haters?

  • CUT YOUR FINGERNAILS!!! FFS!

  • I think Final Fantasy for the WanderSwanColor was in english as well, but I'm not sure.

  • this may sound wierd, but back in the late 90's and early 2000's, there was a chain of departments stores, known as Ames. Not sure if it was a national one or not, but anyways... i remember browsing the electronics section (which was pretty shitty) and seeing one of these in the display case. the worker had said it was because of a botched order, and since they were going under, they decided to sell them for something like $75 and a couple games . didnt buy it and now kicking myself in the ass.

  • @gwarriorfromhell

We had an AMES. It closed down, and no one ever bought the land to build over so me and my friends just keep calling it "down by the Ames."

  • @gwarriorfromhell KB Toys had them too. I remember looking at the Final Fantasy games.

  • The reviewer is kind of an idiot ("I suppose they speak Japanese in Japan") but he talks fast so he gives an illusion of moderate eloquence. But yeah, this system isn't nearly as interesting as the Neo Geo PC. A couple of old FF games isn't going to sway me, but the single battery is pretty sweet. Makes the original GBA look like the freaking PS2 though, despite how shitty the backlight-less GBA was as well.

  • This is more like an unboxing video than a review.

  • You wasted my time ò_ó

  • hey thanx ,

  • Numbers, which are in English. :}

  • I only wanted to see some gameplay. FAIL.

  • You're like a salarian, you talk so fast.

  • The only thing that sucked about the Wonderswan was that there was no Pac-Man game. It was their last console & they didn't even feature their mascot on it.

  • we get it its in japanese

  • I can't even make it a full minute in to your video. F*****g terrible.

  • Thanks Tolstoy...I needed to know if it needed a game or not to boot.

  • this was a bad review. it took you 6 minutes into an 8 minute review to even power on the damn thing, and you never showed us any gameplay or graphics.

  • Dosn't Bandi also publish games?

It dose have a decent sized screen by the looks of it. Wait, the GBA took battery's?! Oh, right I had the GBA-SP.

They wont to make dam sure your batterys don't fall out. ^_^

That's a nice instruction manual though.

  • i thought itwas also realeased in america

  • I think you got "English" and "Romanization" mixed up....

  • the way you speak pisses me off...

  • good god you're annoying

  • i have 2 game boy advances i wanna trade them for that and a nintendo ds

  • The WonderSwan (and the color upgrade) is such an underrated handheld-- just as underrated as the Neo-Geo Pocket (and its color upgrade).

  • yea...very sad story between the gameboy and wonderswan.

  • dude, why buy a console that u cant buy any games for?

  • numbers in english? how do you write numbers in japanese then?

  • where did you get that

  • The inventor of Game Boy, Gunpei Yokoi, left nintendo after he made the virtual boy. He then made his own company and designed the wonderswan.

  • not quite. he got hit by a car.

  • Digimon Adventure Anode and Cathode Tamer was in English.

  • yap!

    and that review was funny.

    ...and i don't care

    ...and i don't care

    ...and i don't care

    ...and i don't care

    ...and i don't care

    ...and i don't care

    ...and i don't care

    5:58

  • there is a reason to buy it.....a little game called DIGIMON BATTLE SPIRIT VERSION 1.5 :D

  • Oh god, the voice... So annoying...

  • @TranceZ7 disobeying second commandment, if you're catholic

  • Love the inuyasha games for this. Makes the PS2 games look like/function as pure crap

  • my favorites games of this console its kinnikuman dream tag match and one piece grand battle: swan colloseum

  • 24 bucks WTF lucky i bought mine for 65(w/shipping)even though it was brand new and i bought 7 games for it which was 195 bucksDXX

  • I bought the original WonderSwan for no game other than the Klonoa game released on it. The game was REALLY fun, and cost me about twice as much as the WonderSwan did.

I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't mention the reason as to why there were both the x and y sets of buttons. For people who don't know this, a number of games require you to turn the handheld sideways to play. This gives you access to the same controls, but a different screen shape.

  • Good review fella, funny. :<)

    Looks like one to miss...

will be worth a small fortune in the future though!

  • where did you get that shirt?!

  • that shirt is crazy cool

  • The Port on the side was also used to connect to a D3 digivice toy from digimon season three i have the digivice that this connects to but i dont have the wonderswan

  • Comment removed

  • Terrors is a great game! i no Japanese and love my Wonderswan Color!! I have the Final fantasy special edition one lol

  • I bought one today. Waiting for it to come in the mail.

    It's the FF1 special edition.

  • Me too! its gonna b SOOO kewl

  • just skip it?!?! wth. u cant just base ur opinion off one game that u cant even play..there are some pretty good games on the WSC. maybe u shouldve looked online to see what "better" game u coulve got. u have to realize this was a japan domestic product so obviously it wasnt aimed for the americans.

i love my wonderswan color..and i'm sure those out there who have one appreciate it too even with its draw backs

  • Bloodtype? They ask you that on a console? I know of Japan and the bloodtype thing, but why would they ask on a console..

  • Remember that portable Pickachu and the newer Digimon pets that came out years ago? They also asked for blood type! lol!

  • i have a wonder swan emulator and i got dorami something and theres a blue never stops talking at the beginng cat

  • I suppose that the Japanese speak Japanese in Japan.

  • No, actually they speak Japanooze. It's a common mistake.

  • @sammanzhi xD

  • @sammanzhi you're both wrong,is Japanian

  • @rrruizzz they speak english VERY well.

  • 0:35

  • yeah, that annoys me too.

  • You are real;ly goood!

  • LOL

  • Only sold in Japan? Well, that was a stupid decision, considering the fact that Nintendo's got the whole hand held console business in the bag.

  • Do you do the voice acting for the metalocalypse manager?

  • No, it was Stephen Colbert...

  • and i quote: "I swear that Japanese speak Japanese because they live in Japan..." -TolstoyKafkaEvsky

  • LOL i fucking loved that part

  • If you can get one of the complete Final Fantasy bundles in excellent or mint condition, it might be cool to get one. That assumes that the price is good. If not, I agree, this is not a necessary system.

  • Good old Wonderswan.

  • I have that thing with Digimon Battle Spirit :P

just can't find where I shoved it away...

  • Gunpei Yokoi's last invention, the older model...

  • i bet you regret buying that $50 game no huh?

  • i think i have seen these in my local gamestation in england

  • in london maybe?

  • no in grimbsy

  • The port is also used for a specialized headphone jack. And they're kind of hard to get =(

  • ive heard of name age and sex but BLOOD TYPE? what??

  • xxverde burn in hell.

  • japanese numbers? wtf?

  • just use google translate to translate it

  • LOL

  • i think you can select to type in japanese for google translate.

  • Yes,but you would have to find every single character.

And In case you aren't aware, there are over 1000 Japanese letters If I remember correctly.

Though now,im doubting that number,so dont bash me if Im wrong.

  • you may have been living under a rock for the past 20-30 years, but there's this magical thing called a "keyboard" that plugs into your computer

  • hes not even 20 years old

  • oops, shoulda made it a bit more clear

That comment was a response to 'swbit', who made a comment that is now on page 2 of the comment list.

  • oh sorry i kinda didnt understand that because TKE didnt really talk about a keyboard or whatever lol

  • Yeah there is, and when I think about that it could work... but is TKE really gonna go out and buy a Japanese keyboard? Think about it.

  • Dude, chill. You can find specs anywhere on the net. I'd rather have his opinions than him rambling off specs.

  • i'm pretty sure it said ban dai and the gameboy unless i have been misled for years is a nintendo product

  • The Wonderswan color was made by Gunpei Yokoi and it was made to compete to the gameboy (which strange enough was also made by Gunpei Yokoi too)

  • your just a rude bich

  • You have no right to make fun of anybody, you only have one video!

  • where do you get your stuff cuz i want to know

  • eBay obv.

  • the magical world of ebay

  • i like this console i wanna get one. i dont speak Japanese or even read it lol but i've played Rockman WS (megaman WS) as a ROM and i really like it even though i can't read it, yes i want it purely for that reason haha..

  • lol I have terrors 2 its awesome I got it for a fiver, the little trading card was a gift thing as its ties in with the japanese film release of the terrors series

  • i always wanted one of these when i was in 4th grade but then i didnt get one later on in 5th grade i got a gameboy color instead and then i got a ds and a psp phat in 7th grade ds lite and in 8th grade and a psp slim from japan this year

  • man ur voice is annoying

  • then MUTE it!!!!!

  • you know whats actually annnoying? people who leave insulting comments on videos they dont even have to watch!!!

  • this handheld could have been very versatile. It could have played with the standard direction+2 button setup, or it could have been turn on it's side and played longways with 8 buttons. That'd make for an awesome portable shooter title. Ikaruga handheld, anyone?

  • in japan, there's a crystal GameCube :D

  • Gunpei Yokoi made the wonder swan... and the gameboy

  • that is werd

  • Yea, i have had my eye on the wonderswan color for a long time. Guilty Gear is out for it, thats the reason why I really want one.

  • lol the game you bought was more expensive than the system

  • Wheres brick and mortor I want to go there.

  • A "brick and mortar" store is a regular store, as opposed to an online store.

  • So why would they sell import games?

  • A brick and mortar store can be just about any type of store. It's called a brick and mortar store because, typically, it's made of brick and mortar. In this case, he's simply referring to a local store that would sell video games. Some of them carry imports. In my case, there's a store called The Exchange, but I believe that they're only in Pennsylvania (maybe Ohio, as well). You'll need to ask around or search on your own to find out if there's a similar store near you.

  • OIhh so that what iut is I want to go there. I never seen a store like that.

  • You've never seen a store that's made of brick?

  • How much have you spent on all this consoles?

  • Hey didn't Bandai make a failure with Apple called Pippin and another failure the Playdia?

  • dude what should i get a wonderswan or neogeo

  • NEOGEO...no contest...

  • dose the colour thing meen the colour of the case because i looked at a demo of 1 and it wasnt in colour?

  • No, no, the color MEANS color. The wonderswan COLOR has games IN COLOR.

  • well actually there are some english speaking games

  • luve the wonderswan

  • Where can i buy one of these ( i dont live in japan) PS i dont like buying off internet

  • Some brick and mortar stores will carry imports, but other than that, the internet's all you got. And even if you don't buy it off of the internet, the brick and mortar stores will charge nearly 300% of what you can find on the web.

  • please verify which kind of brick and mortar stores please name names

  • There are no names. Most import stores AREN"T chains. I have one near me that's called Power Gamer, but it's only in Maryland...I think.

  • OK thanks : ) ( i never asked 4 chains )

  • Awesome Review!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hook them upto your pc, pda, cellphone because they were playable online

  • wats good on there was guilty gear, digimon, gundam seed, and naruto.

  • There were a few games that were fully in English, about 3 or 4 I believe. They were some Digimon games and one that was used to make the WonderBorg work. Anyways most Wonderswan games require almost no knowledge of Japanese since a good share of them are action games.

  • Gunpei Yokoi RIP:)

  • Me?

  • .....no that's why I said it wasn't....really gotta pay attention.

  • Thanks for the Cool review on my favorite Handheld , but there are a lot of games what u can play without any japanes knowlegde , and it give also games that are WS Only like Judgemnt Silverword and Dicing Knight

  • i was playing ne of these i havent ugt one et i was playing one to see if i liked it and i(i am a huge nerd and i wanted to try it) was playing digimon adventure anode version and i have figuredd out all the controls so if you have it i could help.
