  • This is Too...SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

  • This game was worth every single penny.

  • greatest wrestling game of all time, HANDS DOWN!

  • That is another reason why ps1 was better then 64 the prices were cheaper. This was 70$ when wcw/nwo nitro was just 50$ and nitro was better

  • I have this really fun

  • Back then the games were actually worth the price too. I spent heaps of hours on this, GoldenEye 64 and Mario Kart 64. Multiplayer fun and entertainment wise nothing has come close to the N64 (at least local multiplayer)

  • Yeah, I remember my parents having to pay close to $80 when Wrestlemania 2000 came out in '99.

  • This game and wrestling were so awesome at that time I would have payed a hundred for it. People seem shocked but yeah games were just as or even more expensive than they are now. All the good NES games cost 50 bucks, I remember my cousin paying $60 for Mario 3 when it first came out. Back then when a dollar was worth a dollar that was a lot of money. It's crazy that you can download these games for free in a fraction of a second these day.

  • Damn 70 i feel bad for my parents i cried all night for this game ummmm sorry mom and dad

  • @tommydo1e N64 ARE NOT SHIT U HAD MINDFUCK

  • WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKK 70 BUCK FOR GAMES

  • never got it directly from WCW fuck them i payed way less for mine.

  • Dudes, these N64 carts were only $50 while the cheaper to produce PSX discs were $40. The price you're seeing is heavily marked up because it's being sold through the WCW store.

  • @DukeMagnem That's not true. I can distinctly paying 70 bucks for this game at EB when it came out. Some N64 games were going for $79.99 when the system first came out.

  • *International Objects.

  • It's hard to think but but 69.95 GOD that's still too frickin' high!!!!!!!

  • omfucking g 70 dollors

  • this game was mind boggling at the time!!!

ahhhhh miss the 90's so much!!!!!

  • I enjoyed all the THQ N64 games- but I really enjoy this one still.

I really like to put "quick match" and "realism" on and it makes for some great matches. I find that sometimes a quick reverse into a submission will make you or your opponent tap and it makes for a highly entertaining, unforgiving match.

  • I called that number listed and now I'm rubbin balls

  • It's amazing to think that I can go to a ROM site, and download this game in 30 seconds when it used to be $70

  • @DWdrummerFX Sad fact is, only poor unsuccessful failures who can't afford to actually COLLECT the games are the ones at the rom sites.

  • @sirvegeta ummm....lolwut? Self righteous much?

  • Best wrestling game ever. I remember the first time I played this game I was up all night with my friend Jose playing this shit.

  • ah the 90's where you just send money to strangers and they send you a package,

  • Back than this game was worth the 70 bucks it started the whole grapples instead of doing button combinations like wwf war zone and attitude

  • Capitalist jackasses making QUITE THE PROFIT...

  • i payed only 1 dollar 4 this game at a yard sale =D

  • The Best was WCW Mayhem :)

  • I never played this but this just looks like a beta for WCW vs NWO revenge. That game was AMAZING.

  • This game was awesome. Black Ninja ftw!

  • Worth every penny ;D

  • I bought this brand new $30. Thank God Ebay was around in those days. :D

  • This is why blockbuster and Hollywood video were so popular in the 90's and early 00's

  • Comment removed

  • N64 games were expensive because they were produced on cartridges which cost a fortune even today.

  • My mom and dad bought me this and an N64 for my birthday. I loved my parents ever since.

  • shit i got this game for 3 bucks

  • You're all talking about the price of these games. Just because we are growing up in the age of PS3/Xbox doesn't mean that just cuz their game engines are better that they're more expensive. Hell, games are usually $59.99 these days.So get over it, dudes.

  • Why can't they just remake these games for the xbox and ps3!! that would be epic.

  • its funny how the price of games are the same

  • Back in 1997/98, I would of bought it because N64 had thee premier wrestling games of all time... The gameplay of these games are unmatched... even this primitive game has better gameplay then any new Smackdown game that exists.

  • i hope you guys know it really wasnt 70 bucks LOL

  • Definately a game worth that amount during its time, the birth of the best Wrestling Game engine ever.

  • got it for 5 bucks at local pawn shop

  • @smily180

That is where I used to buy video games lol

I used to go to the pawnshop and get really good PS1 games for $10 and N64 games for cheap, and this was back in 1998 - 2000 when these consoles were still in existance

  • wow trying to afford video games back then was such a bitch! T_T

  • I got this for 18$ in 1999.

  • Games are 69.99 now there the only thing in the world thats never inflated in price , your lucky , SUPER MARIO 3 FOR NINTENDO WAS 79.99

  • those were the days brother i miss those days

  • Yeah I even clearly remember Donkey Kong Country for the SNES being 70 smackers when it first came out. I can't believe people bitch about $60 games nowadays

  • Yep it might be a shock but n64 games were very expensive. Hell i remember when a simple nintendo cartirdge game was 80$ imagine being 5 and asking dad to buy castlevanina for nintendo for 80. When 64 first came out lots of games were around 60-80 killer instinct gold was 70 so it was much easier to just buy 40 dollar play station games then 64 finally dropped the price to 40-50 and it was good.

  • I just bought this game again on ebay for $4. Looking forward to playing it again.

  • You guys are suckers, I bought mine for $40.

  • there is oey one wcw fame i would buy & thats wcw vs nwo revenge

  • cartridges cost a lot to make. or at least they did back in the days

  • 70 bucks? For THAT?!?!? I declare shenanigans!!!

  • I was at a friend's bachelor party, about half a year ago, and me and another dude had the N64 hooked up and were busting out No Mercy, this game, Virtual Pro Wrestling 1 and 2, and Revenge. While playing Revenge, one guy in the room said some of the dumbest shit I've ever heard," Look at the jaggies," He LOL"d!Then him and the other douches went back to their PS3 shooter bullshit. Yeah, this game is old, but it's also miles ahead of the new movie like shooter shit that passes for a game today.

  • @thetrophyone you guys were playing videogames at a bachelor party? Lame.....

  • @TequilaAssassin4eva Dude, I know...That's what happens when the bride and her step-dad get to plan everything instead of the guy's friends. His wife is the jealous type, so if my man even had a swim suit calendar, hanging on the wall, pass through his line of view he'd get a lecture from her about it. Whatever, it was his choice to marry her. My girlfriend is nothing like that...so will have a nice life.

  • @thetrophyone well it sounds to me that your friend is in a bad situation, but like you said if he chose to go through with marriage then I guess that's that. Jealous gf's really know how to rip you good if you get accused of thinking about other girls, or get caught checking a hot girl out in public, ya know? I'm just saying but if it were my bach party I so would've hired AT LEAST 3 strippers for a few hours, or go to a strip club..something other than videogames bcuz you can always do that

  • @TequilaAssassin4eva Yeah, well said. My friend is one of those "fanboys, " I hate that word, so I guess he enjoyed it. But yeah, nude chicks win hand down compared to video games.

  • @thetrophyone yes indeed, well best of luck to your friend..and to you too on your future endeavors

  • wtf back in the day games were hella expensive holy shit!

  • what would happen if i called that number now?

  • why were these games so expensive?? anyways giant looks scary in the cover but good game though

  • @wolfpack22100 Because they were amazing games and almost never broke or got damaged..... Every wrestling game on the N64 was amazing, and there were a lot

  • 70 bucks. SHIIIIIIIT!!!!!! N i thought ps3 and 360 game prices were too high

  • @IceCipriani21 lol and that was back then when minimume wage was like $6 WOWWW

  • damn games have come a long way lol

  • this game is classic. still have it

  • I love how people bitch about games being 59.99 now, well with inflation i think this game was like $80+ that's just insane.

  • AMAZING FUCKING GAME...............I USE TO TEAR IT UP BACK IN THE DAYS WITH SCOTT HALL

  • When wrestling games were totally fun to play.

  • i have this lol

  • i guess this game was ok.

  • i never played this but the wwf one for n64 was the bomb, i played it for like 2 years straight and i was like 25 at the time, (not 12) i got a xbox 360 and don't like it as much as i did the n64 maybe just the variety of games halo 3 is only one i've liked, and yes i have a job and a good one and kids don't live in my moms basement

  • @xjcms lol...u must have knew some ass clown would have asked u those question about where u stay at and all that other stuff...lol

  • 70 bucks?! screw that I downloaded mine for free LOL

  • it was worth $100 back in the day.. i'd buy it... i did in fact

  • OVER 20 WRESTLERS! O MY! haha back in the day that was the shit! lol

  • But now it's worth a dollar

  • Holy shit 70 bucks fuck dat I played this game so it should cost 50 bucks

  • classic game

  • you know, everyone goes on and on about how revenge was a better game, but I disagree. this didn't have as many wrestlers in it, but it had a lot more ways to play if you couldn't find anyone else to play the game with. revenge just had single matches and belts, but this had tournaments, leagues, and team battles between wcw and the nwo. I'd play this game over any other game for the N64 any day. I just need to get an N64 again.

  • i rather play this than anything out their like svr or tna games

  • I remember I bought that game at Wal-Mart 40 something dollars (it was my birthday present), but the rest of my games were Pawn Shop games for like 10-5 dollars. I still have this game from when I was 8 years old, and it still works. 1997, hell of a year!

  • And people complain about video game prices today. This game was 70 bucks and you called a toll free number to get it.

  • Smackdown vs Raw 2011 IS NOT THIS MUCH DANG

  • geez 70 bucks was wwhat i paid for svr 2010 brand new the day it came out on xbox 360 plus 5 bucks to reserve the game. somone game me the game after this wcw/nwo revenge for free

  • I can buy n64, wcw/nwo revenge and golden eye for half this crap..anyone selling?

  • That's a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The price is higher because you're buying it straight from WCW. In retail stores, it was much cheaper new.

  • gawd games were more expemsive than today's XD

  • hahah now its like 10 bucks

  • @Ramonesfan990 Not even!

The Play N Trade store by me is selling it for just a dollar!

  • LOL! I bought this for 3 bucks.

  • @ProWrestlingFan101 i bought at the swat meet at the same price

    its badass though

  • @MrMandoChingon Damn right!

  • Well worth the $70.WCW vs NWO was an epic win.

  • This game was ground breaking!!!! The grapple system in this game is still top notch.

  • buahahahah xbox 360 arnt even 70

  • dont remember paying that much ??

  • awesome game! the begging of an awesome engine

  • Bischoff must have really wanted to save WCW

  • i cant believe it costed so much for that game =D like others said it was worth it

  • WOW! $69.95!!!!

  • does anyone know if WWF ever aired any video game commercials for their titles? Man thse were the days.Being a kid back then was fucking awesome.I wouldnt trade them for anything these kids have today.

  • BHAHAHAHAHAHA 70 BUCKS HAHAHAHAHA

  • i paid 3 bucks for this game.

  • N64 had great wrestling games. PS1 really got ripped off when it came to wrestling games.

  • @cmoney1928 smack down 2 and smack-down 1..

  • $70!? + the shipping

    Oy.

  • 70 BUCKS they were crazy lol

  • i believe it was around 96/97 - for me its still a great game!!!

  • what year did this come out

  • 1998

  • 70 bux 4 tat bullshit lol!!!!! ahahahaahaah

  • yeaa i kno riteee lol

  • @outlaw221 THATS A RIP OFF

  • well mr outlaw221 this bullshit if you put it next to smackdown vs raw 08 09 or 10

still holds his own ........they cannot make a game like this on ps3 graphics are great but the gameplay cannot be duplicated......

  • AKI's games are made of pure brilliance. When I was younger(can't remember, somewhere around 2003 or so), I was renting a lot of wrestling games(at one point I did rent one of the wcw vs nwo games). But one I did like in particular was WWF No Mercy. I rented this game so much that my mom bought this on ebay for me for my birthday. As soon as I can get on my wii, I'm going to use an injected VC wad to play this on my wii.

  • i wanted this game bad as a kid. so you know what me and my brother did you buy it?? we picked up a truck bed load of walnuts to take and sell. we got just enough money. kids are spoiled these days.

  • @SSmoken I hear you man, I had this plus WCW Revenge and I had to wash my dads car all summer of 1998, I was only 8 at the time lol

  • wtf 70 Bucks Fukc Dat haha

  • 70 Bucks? damn I never knew how much my mommy spent on my video games back in the day...good times LOL

  • This was well over 10 years ago and you'd think the games back then would be cheaper.

  • awesome game

  • the best N64 wrestling game is No Mercy ut this game kicks ass

  • @spider486 that can be argued though, it was built on the same engine as WCW Revenge!!! the only thing added is theme music and 3 or 4 other matches. Other than that same game. Have it and Love it aswell though

  • I wonder how much Ted Turner paid Game Informer and Gamepro to say that WCW/NWO world Tour was a great game

  • It was good back then, but now with the new smackdown games it is long forgotten I got the game in 2000 it was kinda fun especially the battle royal was uniq

  • You don't get awesome Wrestling games like this today.WCW vs NWO:World Tour was well worth $69.95.But I just wish THQ would hire AKi again to make the new Smackdown vs Raw again.Because they were the delvopers who made this game,WCW Revenge,WrestleMania 2000 and they also made Def Jam:Fight for New York.

  • No Mercy?

  • If they did that, there would be nothing stopping me from getting that game

  • Back in the mid to late 90's Bill Clinton was the president and the economy was better than ever and us n64 fans easily dished out $60-$70 for a great game.

  • 70 dollars seems much but i remember secret of mana being 90 bucks at christmas the year it was out

  • dude N64 was EPIC for saving without Memory Cards lol

  • 70 bucks???????? hell naw! lol. I remember I bought perfect dark for 60 something.

  • @Jdub14000 Games are 69.99 now there the only thing in the world thats never inflated in price , your lucky , SUPER MARIO 3 FOR NINTENDO WAS 79.99

  • @GOJOWrestling Yeah true. I think during that time game cartiage was more and the system was new at the time. So 70-80 was common. Pluss the economy was way better.

  • lol I understand Revenge for 70 bucks but come on...well...it is WCW lol

  • revenge was like $120

  • $70 back then was common place. I remember back when the N64 was still new to the market and I saw NBA Hangtime on the shelves... FOR $80. I literally asked the sales clerk if that was a misprint and she said "nope, eight zero."

  • $70! HOLY SHIT

  • yeah this game was fuckin awesome. this makes me want to get another N64 to get this game. and goldeneye, perfect dark, turok, SSB, and oh so many more great titles i miss

  • I'm a WWE fan, but that was a decent game for its time. :)

  • Man this game had me and my cousins up all night back in the young days...my favorite in that game was Syxx.

  • 40 moves for each wrestler? 15 at the most IMO

  • They included counter attacks and default "run" and stuff - pretty much anything you could do with the controller was a "move".

  • Best wcw game ever

I love that boxer you get to unlock

  • They say it is Ali.

  • Yea thats the one.

  • The game that set the standard in which all wrestling games are judged on

  • $69.95

    and well worth it !

  • @newjack1879 as you can see the price of gaming was always expensive even nes games

  • @5020maine

For a little after the launch, it was very difficult to fit what the N64 could do inside of a cartridge as opposed to a CD (which at the time provided alot more space). Putting a game of PS1 level on a cartridge was tough, and alot of people still think Nintendo should've used CDs for the N64. Sure, it made them tougher to copy (which was simple on any CD-based system) but was it worth all the extra trouble and limits though? Eventually, as time went on, the price did came down.

  • i got that game when i was little and when i get to play it i already know how to play the game without the instruction and for a long time i still had the n64 and the game. Classic. And 70.00 for wcw vs nwo world tour? I would trade the other n64 game to someone who don't want the wcw vs nwo world tour.

  • Oh my god...ROTFLMAO, 69.99? I got this for $4.45 at a freaking pawn shop, and it still worked. Geez! The gullubility of who ever got this would probably have got it cheaper at Wal-Mart or Kids-R-Us. I feel sorry for whoever bought it from this ad.

  • yea but u know in 1997 u would've paided 70 bucks for the hottest wrestling game out i did if u are just now getting it im sure your happy with it the N64 wrestling games are the best

  • At it's time I would of gladly paid 100 bucks. That game was worth every penny.

  • yeah but that's a over a 10 year difference dude. I'm sure xbox360 and ps3 games will be pawned that cheap in 11 years.

  • Oh my goodness 69 dollars back then what a rip off i got this game for 4 dollars a few months ago
