Hah, actually it's Alex. I met you a while back when you came to Riley for a Johnny D workshop after they played in Cincinnati-I was the overenthusiastic kid with the old Gibson at the subsequent Dayton session. You rock.
Oh, hey Alex. I didn't read your profile. Ha ha. How are things in Cinci these days? Dave Copley fills me in from time to time. Hope you are still playing away.
Wow, great! I love your guitar work, so sad I can't really see what your are playing. You're in DADGAD, aren't you? As I'm a beginner in DADGAD I'd love to have the chord shapes. Is it possible to write them down, just in numbers?
Hey klickstarter, This is in drop-D. A lot of what I do in either tuning is based around using the low strings to do bass lines. The are not exactly movable chords, but very close. Learning a chord scale up the neck in DADGAD is a good and useful exercise for learning positions on the fingerboard. I will do some teaching videos at some point soon, I promise!
Julian is an unbelievable fiddler, and Zac, you are an unbelievable multi-instrumentalist. There is always great music on this channel.
