  • THANKS for the wise words! When we wrong someone, or they wrong us- we need to REMEMBER that the things which WE have done to wrong God- are most likely far worse- and yet, Jesus did much more than just forgive us- He humbled Himself, to be born in human form, worked hard, became hungry, and tired, like we all do, walked thousands of miles during His lifetime, slept on the hard ground many nights, was rejected, ridiculed, beaten, brutally tortured, and Had His flesh ripped open, put upon the

  • Even though a TRUE Christians sins are forgiven, through the blood of Christ- Christians will still be judged- and if a person still has not forgiven someone- then God will probably have a lesson for them to learn, so they can resolve their anger- unforgiveness. But, most TRUE Christians fully understand that it's really prideful to not forgive ALL things- when we've done so many things to hurt, and disrespect God- yet He has forgiven everything we have done wrong, and A TRUE Christian does n

  • Please read the next comment, FIRST. WE are not saved by WORKS- because a person who is spiritually and morally bankrupt, can do WORKS. WORKS are OUTER ACTIONS/ GOOD DEEDS. An owner of a pornography business, could literally EARN Salvation- simply by donating to charities, and doing some volunteer work. - VERSUS- SALVATION- The FULL and AWARE KNOWLEDGE and GRATITUDE that Jesus Christ- The SON of GOD, didn't HAVE to be THE ONE, SINGLE THING, THAT COULD REMOVE THE LITERAL BINDING, INHERITED C

  • MORE NEW AGE LIES! Forgiveness is NOT considered WORKS. This thought shows that this person doesnt understand the bible. Works, would be things like; giving to charity, volunteering, etc. They are ACTIONS. Forgiveness is a higher spiritual requirement. It is something that one must be sincere in order to do, whereas- even a really sinful person can do WORKS to seem good, even righteous on the OUTER PERSON- BUT SECRETLY, THE INNER PERSON could be very hateful, selfish, unkind. -So, clearly,

  • Very good presentation of Our LOrds words, however... Why do you call Yahshua Jesus ? Are you talking about another God ? Yahshua died on a tree (living sap) with two thieves. Jesus is a name that does not appear in the original manuscripts, neither in the greek or Hebrew... the letter "J" was invented during the constantine era by a monk... translating the scriptures... The Fathers name is YHWY and His son Yahshua... Lets talk truth...

  • @Projectman2u I use the name Jesus because it's universally familiar with nearly everyone in the world. Is his name Yahushua? Yes...in Hebrew. Friend, it wouldn't matter if I called him Bob or Frank. It's his teachings that are important. Don't believe the name worshipers, who actually believe Jesus and/or God are so vain that they wouldn't respond to those who fail to utter the proper Hebrew sounds. Some even say these poor folks will go to hell for worshiping "the wrong God." That's tragic.

My yoke is easy and my burdern light.

    Mathew 11th chapter

  • @CherokeeCharli Easy to learn....hard to live. The road is narrow and the door is small.

  • Oh, this is a message I needed to be reminded of as I've been very angry and hard hearted towards somebody in my life for the last month. Uhg. *swallow pride* and off I go.

But what if this person doesn't even care if they are forgiven since they think they are justified by their actions? Does my choice to forgive count????

  • @petshaw2009 Of course it counts! God sees your heart, even if they do not. Don't fall into the trap of becoming angry at them because they won't accept your forgiveness or because they feel justified in their actions. Hopefully your love and kindness will convince them that you are genuine. After all, it is not mere words...but it is your actions that prove forgiveness. Give it time. Listen to what Jesus said:

"Bless those that curse you. Pray for those that hurt you."

  • @petshaw2009 I am not sure I understand. Are you going to this person to tell them that you have been hard hearted towards them, but now you are going to forgive their wrong toward you??? That is piety - not humility.

The forgiveness required here is for you to go to that person and tell them you have been feeling hard hearted towards them. (Do not detail all your reasons for these hard hearted feelings.) Then ask THEM to forgive YOU!

We are all leaning as we go. God bless!

  • @AngelsKeepMe

This is a person who has repeatedly lied about me. This last time angered me greatly as it was a big lie. I can honestly say she is a liar for her own gain.

My heart has forgiven her, but I know I won't welcome her to be close to me or my family again. I would be stupid to do such a thing. There has been much heartache involved with this person and her mouth. It is a family member.

Although, I would always be there for her, but our relationship can't be the same anymore.

  • @petshaw2009 I certainly understand being hurt by others' lying lips, but unless they come to you to request your forgiveness, it is pious to approach them to announce it. They may not have any desire to repent. That is not your business, but God's. You are then placing yourself in a seat of judgment over them. We are instructed not to do that. I find, when I pray for others who harm me, it is much easier to forgive them in my own heart. Then I am free even if they never regret their harm.

  • @AngelsKeepMe That's why I wasn't sure if forgiving in my heart is enough. This person doesn't think they need to be forgiven.

I do pray that one day we could have the relationship I"ve always wanted with her. It's been a lifelong prayer.

    Peace

  • @petshaw2009 I sure hear you. I have similar issues in my own family. I have been really aware that often what we think is the good thing is not the thing God would have. His ways are higher than ours. I believe He wants to continually transform us and He uses all of it "working all things together for our good". That does not mean "our ease". Hang in there and you will see God change YOU through this for His pleasure and His glory!

  • @petshaw2009

"Father, I come to you in the name of my Saviour and I ask you to help this sister as she strives to walk in your holy forgiveness towards this family member who has hurt her. Comfort my sister and re-assure her that your love is enough and you are more than able to heal her and defend her against lying lips. Let her forgiveness shine as a beacon of your love to all who know this situation. May you be glorified through her obedience. I rejoice with this sister! Amen"

  • @AngelsKeepMe

    Thankyou :)
