The only thing he did in the public eye was "go after the great Babe Ruth's record". He was a beast of a ball player based on clips I've seen of him and what the press did in 1961 was despicable and deplorable.
Thanks for posting this. I agree one hundred percent. Why isn't Roger in the hall of fame when he did it naturally. All these other fools had to ingest something to do it. It makes me sick.
@wildwesternman Roger was a great player but he only had 3 real good season. 61 (which he won the MVP award - 1961 of course and I believe 62nd season which is belted 33 homers but overall his number weren't that good. Plagued by injuries and he never had an average of over 300 - ever. I'm sure if he would of stopped playing a few years before he retired with the Cards after the 68 season - I have no doubt he would be in.

I say he belongs in the Hall of Fame. Bonds should be taking off the homerun list.
