I cant download ie8 for windows 7, because it says it doesnt support the opereting system.and before i downloaded ie9 i had ie8 and now i cant anymore :S btw ie 9 is crap
Mine does the same thing.. I just bought a brand new toshiba laptop from future shop yesterday, and ie8 is terrible on it.. is very slow loading up, i know it's not my internet connection , ie8 worked fine on my dell inspiron, so i just switched to firefox, works fine.
Ok ok... here is what i did and seems to be a bit better. I read someones review about virtual memory settings and READYBOOST....guess what!!!! NO LUCK!!!... then I decided to switch to BASIC theme.. not the fancy "AERO" desktop theme in WIN 7 x64... now i seem to be browsing all browsers noticeably faster... I think "AREO" theme is messing with my browsers.. but XP is still a tad faster.
its all about fancy shmancy bull... software designer now have it in their heads that they need to use up all the available resources or write a code that emulates a doggy program so users get frustrated and throw their PC's out a window... This includes Windows 7 x32 and x64.. I have a fresh install of win7 x64 and 8 gigs of ram on a quad core.... and my single core XP PRO machine with 2 gigs of ram is sooooo much faster...... NEW SOFTWARE is all crap! They have tards designing it!!!!
Take this from a Windows 7 x64 User. Internet Explorer is VERY VERY slow on Windows 7. I agree with everything you have shown in this video, but then again Firefox 3.6 failed this year. Google Chrome does not display pictures properly (I am using Google Chrome) Opera 10 is slow for me. I am a 64bt user. Is it a dead end for all good browsers this year?
It's not Windows 7, is your Internet service. If you want your computer faster you have to configure the ReadyBoost service with a USB device (pentdrive, jumpdrive), and you have to confirure the virtual memory of your machine. How to do this? go to Microsoft help And Support and search for PageFile.
Has anyone else been having problems with Chrome? Often, I will click on a link or type in a website and it will hang and in the bottom left its says "Resolving Host". It will hang for a little while longer and come up "Oops, this link looks broken". Chrome is allowed through my Windows Firewall and it still does this. Can anyone please help?
I use IE8 but I did some tweaks and now it is pretty fast trust me. The fastest browser in my 64bit windows 7 is chrome but I was concerned about privacy. Firefox is good but for some reasons it is not fast for me. There are some regedit adjustment you need to search for and trust me doing that could make IE8 work better.
i tried chrome....not very good with flash...opera....froze alot (opera 10) ie to slow safari....great but im a pc =) firefox very fast low crash rate and uses little memory
you shouldnt upgrade like that slows down ur whole computer lol i did it on my parents upgraded from vista there computers suck now and mine was bought with 7 so it is the bomb

You can speed up Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 by:
-- cleaning system junk
-- optimizing computer services
-- optimizing internet
-- repairing registry
-- defraging registry
-- clearing browsers junk
do these things with some secure tool such as Intel Software Partner Reginout.
Thanks
