This phone is really affordable the price is awesome for a android phone most android phones are REALLY expensive but not this one even though it's a smartphone
just wondering if anyone can help me..I got this phone today and after charging I had a quick look at the features and then went to cook my dinner. I just went to use it again and now there is a green lock icon on the screen and I can't unlock the screen. I've tapped it and nothing happens..pressing buttons and even switching off doesn't fix it :C
Hi, This is the best review of this phone i've seen on the internet. I'm from holland so i also watched dutch reviews but yours is the best of all. very clear Thankyou for this review. I'm now gonna buy this phone
Good video, obviously a lot of effort but i advise at the end of your videos to say wether or not the phone is worth buying, price things like that to make up our descisions
cool.best review..! now m fully satisfied...! gonna buy this phone..!! cAN anyone tell me how can i download games like NOVA?....n bla bla...? pls..n really thnx for the review..!
I am looking at getting a phone with koodo. Looking at Lg optimus one or galaxy ace..... any comments in which I should get? I am getting either for texting mostly... if that helps. I appreciate any comments. :) ;D
Please could you explain that : doesnt support flash ? what that means .. doesnt support flash for camera or something else ? ... and yea i will get this phone with 2.2 andorid ...my provider allows me to upgrade to 2.3.3 .. what do i get ? thank you !
Many thanks for your informative and intelligent review. This is an excellent example of how mobile phone reviews should be conducted. I will be buying the Galaxy Ace tomorrow! Keep up the good work.
@kakyoukuzuki Hi! TouchWiz needs Gingerbread to work. Also, the purpose of software overlays, such as SenseUI and TouchWiz, are to provide users with additional functionality out of their handsets. Are they "better" than stock Gingerbread? Of course, since they provide more features. But many people disagree, stating they prefer the visual clarity of Gingerbread over other enhancements. Personally, I think stock Gingerbread looks clean, but is seriously lacking features. For me, TouchWiz wins.
All the other reviews that I have found for this phone were presented from the geeky perspective of someone who is used to more expensive phones. If I could afford a Samsung S2 or an iPhone 4 I would hardly be searching for a review on the Galaxy Ace in the first place. This review tells me the things that I actually wanted to know! Thank you.
This is the best review i've ever seen for any kind of phone!
I was very disappointed when i heard that it doesn't support flash...i guess that's not the point for YouTube videos. Very pleased when i found out from your review that it can play YouTube videos!
Thanks a lot for this very professional review and keep up the good work!
@2010animation Hi! Actually, I wasn't running a ROM on it...that's just the stock software that comes with the phone (SenseUI 2.1). Animated (Live) wallpapers certainly give it a different look, and you can change the Theme of the phone as well to give it that black look. Cheers!
@WirelessInsider Thanks so much ! I'm not eligible for renewal so I'll just pay the 200 whatever dollars and stick with my normal plan. Thanks for your help !
@JenniferBarstead Hi! No, you do not. All you need is a Google (Gmail) account so you can access the Android Marketplace, amongst other things. This phone can work on WiFi only, and cellular data can be disabled to ensure you don't accidentally connect to the data network. Cheers!
@JenniferBarstead That's right! Also keep in mind the Ace is a no-data-requirement device. This means if you are eligible for renewal, you can still get the phone for $0, even without a data package.
@Sepharite Hello! Oh my, if you don't need a flash for your camera, the Samsung Galaxy Vibrant all the way. The Ace has a 3.5" TFT display, 158MB of onboard storage and an 800MHz processor. The Vibrant on the other hand has a 4.0" SuperAMOLED display (awesome), 16GB of onboard storage (wow) and a 1GHz processor. Read: Ace is an excellent introductory level handset, but the Vibrant is much higher up on the awesome chain. Thanks for subscribing! :)
at school i accidently took someone's samsung galaxy ace because it looks so much like my samsung galaxy gio

If u use the phone normally, can u arrive at the end of the day, or not?
I really like this phone, but i'm worried about battey...
Sorry for my bad english (i'm italian).

Worth mentioning is that (what I have heard) is that when upgraded to Android 2.3.5 enhances the camera pixels to 480p.

Thinking of getting the Ace, but I've been eyeing on used phones, Galaxy Vibrant for the same price. What are your thoughts?
Or possible a Gio if I can find it under $100.
