  • berger in his typical driving direction

  • @hitman3377 looool

  • I loved the cars in 96

  • he overtook Schummy in reverse gear lol

  • hhahahah you can hear Murry walker in the back ground XD

  • @MiniOne82 no thats john watson^^

  • @Patmcway really?

  • @MiniOne82 yes... watch this and you can hear johns voice^^ /watch?v=U-X45KU2WMk&feature=related

  • @Patmcway o yeah. hahaha

  • Schumacher is the one that spun! He was with Benneton in '96.

  • @jpbuczala:You,re wrong.Schumacher was with Benetton in 1995 and Berger was with Ferrari in 1995.In 1996 it was the other way around.Schumacher went to Ferrari and Berger taking Schumachers place at Benetton together with Jean Alesi.

  • @PinoThePizzaman77

Yep, forgot about that. Guess if I payed closer attention to the video, itself, I would have remembered. It labels the Benetton as Berger and you can see the top of Schumacher's helmet.

  • @PinoThePizzaman77

Yep, forgot about that. Last time I saw an F1 race was Montreal when Schumacher was with Benetton (it was mid-90s; thought it was '96). Guess if I paid closer attention to the video I would have figured it out (they identify the Benetton as Berger and you can see the top of Schumacher's helmet). Sorry about that.

  • @jpbuczala:You don,t have to apologize.I,m not angry;)

I understand the misunderstanding because the helmet of Schumacher and the helmet of Berger were both coloured blue on the top.Nowadays it wouldn,t be a problem because Berger is retired and Schumacher wears a red helmet.;)

  • @jpbuczala Retard alert !!!

  • I totally forgot about this commentator. Must have been 10+ years since I last heared it. Bert Devies IIRC.

  • I give Berger points for style and managing to swap ends at Monaco without touching a single barrier but I think that may not be the best way to enter that chicane....but what do I know....

  • hard brake! a small mistake and the race is all ruined

  • must have been the qualify. could not be the race. schumacher did not reach this point of the track in the race ;)

  • How did Berger spin? It looked like he locked up the rear brakes or something, seeing as how he's backwards before he even gets to the chicane.

  • schumacher could just let him pass by him... then he could drive through chikane instead of going into alley...

    check out 0:23

he could go after berger passe...

  • The Dutch commentor is a real r*tard when he states... "Berger spins because of Schumacher and Schumacher drives around him victorious" :s

Glad I never watched F1 on Dutch television :P

  • @planepix:Haha don,t worry.This commentary is from Eurosport and Eurosport don,t broadcast F1 anymore.We Dutchy,s watch F1 on a channel named RTL 7 and there is a better commentary.

  • @PinoThePizzaman77 OLAV MOL baby!!! but i always switch to bbc during commercials though. but those english people are always so calm, while olav get's exited about almost anything.

all we need still is a dutch champion

  • @planepix I do remember watching this qualifying session all those years ago. Berger was actually on a hot lap challenging for pole but Schumacher was doing this victory lap waving at spectators and punching the air in a victory salute after setting his pole position time when Berger came upon him and had to spin so as not to crash into the back of him.

The post qualifying interview was amusing, Schumacher was blaming the new rules about high cockpit sides, Berger was blaming Schumacher.

  • @planepix it's not dutch tv and the guy didn't even say that he drives around him victorious

you should had translated it better

  • So lucky not to get creamed at the chicane.

  • i didnt see any wave! Schumi was as far right on the track as could go lik and thers no reason why Berger should be hindered! if anything Schumi dodged Berger's slide!

  • Hey bone head! schumi was waving to the crowd thinking that the session was over! well it was not and by doing that he blocked Berger's path.Understand now?

  • I can't see this in the video mate so please give link to another video where I can see that. Thank you.

  • Hey mate can you explain me how Schumacher ruined Berger's lap? Because in this video I don't see anything bad Schumacher did... Maybe he did something earlier that lap but if he didn't you just suck!

  • Lol...you can hear the British Eurosport team in the background.

  • thats BBC Radio 5live i turned it up to listen to them

  • Me too. :)

  • Its John Watson. So surely its British Eurosport?

  • Well that's what I thought. Maybe it's BBC Radio 5live as well, but it's definitely British Eurosport. I have this race with the Edawrds/Watson commentarty and it's Eurosport.

  • And surely the fact its a foreign language eurosport, maybe they were cheapskates and decided to stick all the different languages in the same booth?

  • Possibly. Eurosport is of course French...lol.

  • its dutch, well the guy u hear the loudest is, the other one is obviously english but i think the reason you hear him is becuz the reporters are all in the same room

  • The English one is John Watson :)

  • it's john watson for eurosport

  • NO before berger got near schumi, schumi was waving to the fans before the tunnel and had to get on the gas when berger got near him. then wanted to get out of the way berger had no choice by then his lap was wasted and went off line to get passed.

  • Funny that he could see Berger in the mirror but couldnt see Villeneuve in Jerez!

  • Fucking inconsiderate Shitmaker fucked up Gerhard's lap.

  • How the hell do you end up backwards there?

  • lol John Watson in the background!!

  • Hahaha best commentary, period!

  • And a slight dash of recklessness

  • By who? Schumi saw the danger coming and reacted accordingly.

  • yep, but schumacher was on a racing line, and berger was in fast lap

  • Actually I reckon Michael was not on the racing lane at all. I saw the qualifying live and he was just trying to stay out of Berger's way, otherwise he wouldn't have been on that side of the chicane just waiting. Unfortunate for Berger but as far as I am concerned Schumacher had nothing to do with it.

  • complete control thats why he is 7 times world champ
