  • Era la mejor, una voz con matices preciosos,mi preferida en este género

  • @THEFLYINGREDNECK you may be a redneck, but you ain't no fool. George "no-show" Jones and Patsy Cline. You nailed it. The 2 best vocalists in the genre. Amen, my friend. Well said.

  • her and george jones have to be the best VOCALIST in the country genre!

  • The sheer power behind Patsy's voice still amazes me. I'm so glad I got to hear this example.

  • great version by Patsy Cline --- thanks for sharing

  • kitty wells forever thank you

  • @chelseagirlist agreed it was kitty wells song but this was a radio transcription .i wonder how it would have sounded in a studio with owen bradlley and studio musicians

  • @1951jmc It would have sounded fantastic!

  • No one sings this like Kitty Wells, but still Patsy Cline does a nice version

  • Patsy Cline is just fantastic. A voice that could make angels cry.

  • @TheAngryBum or truck drivers

  • Thank God for making you!

  • she was good in live performances I saw her three month before she died and met her backstage and got her autograph

  • Nobody sings anything as well as Patsy. Period. Thanks for posting.

  • rattles my bones...

  • This is amazing, thanks for putting it up. Listen to one of mine, I'm trying to bring old country back.

  • Shes got a damn good voice. Thank ya hoss!

  • Yes, Kitty Wells did the song first (but she didn't write it). But when Patsy Cline sings it, it stays sung. She was a much, much better singer than any female country star I can think of- with the possible exception of Emmylous Harris. Here's a parallel: Otis Redding wrote and sand Respect. Great singer, great song. But when Aretha did it, Otis himself said "that girl took my song" she did. Same deal here. Ain't about first. It's about best. Patsy Cline, the best country singer other than Hank.

  • @slownoman i would rather hear otis redding sing respect than Aretha Franklin.

  • I could fall in love with her, and possibly could had made a much better husband,

  • @patsaxon I did fall in love with her...and I still love her to this day. She died on my 15th birthday...but I will love her til the day I die.

  • Patsy IS the #1 Country voice! Thank you for sharing her recordings - just great!

  • music is done my computers now and it all fake. your voice could sound like s*** but you still make millions. then music is real good and NOT done by computers and its 10 times better!! so to ladygaga and justin bieber etc you voices suck!! (:

  • It will always be Kitty Well's song but Patsy version is great!

  • gosh, i love all of her music.

  • Beautiful!

  • i think that this would be a great song for the Lady Gaga to sing at the next video grammies!! they can even use patsy kline and kitty swells to sing back up vocals on it. i think that that would bring it full circle and even make it a bigger hit than it ever was before. especially if She made a video out of it!! that would be fantastic for sure!!!! just my opinion. KISSES!!

  • fantastic. Thanks for this

  • @mamasita042669 wow that's going a bit far. These women all have beautifully unique voices. Patsy has a deeper and more gravelly voice than Kitty so saying Kitty sang like a billy goat...what does patsy sound like?

  • @cuongoff i dont know where you get patsy had a deep gravelly voice, but she sang a heck of a lot better than kitty wells, kitty wells had a winey voice, sorry, but she did.

  • So this was the song in the movie "Coal Miners Daughter" that they were playing on the bus. Thank you for posting this. This is why I like youtube.

  • WOW!; People argueing about who sings this better, Kitty or Patsy. Yeah, they're different and they're both wonderful.

  • Jessi Colter singing with Waylon is the best female version of this!

  • follow your dream or the dream will follow you, no one looks at a droopy pair of trousers

  • Thank you for uploading :D I think Ms. Cline did the song justice.

  • good one patsy! so true!

  • i like to think everyone can agree that patsy cline has thee most amazing voice of all time =)

  • i disagree with those who say that no one could do this song better than kitty wells. it is a matter of opinion. i think patsy cline's voice has more clarity and less of a nasal quality, which makes the kitty wells version grate on my nerves.

  • This is and always will be a "KITTY WELLS" song ! No one can do it like she did !

  • Pasty beat out Kittys version in 2 seconds of the song

  • Thank you for sharing this video, very nice song!

  • What a good song and its words are soooooo true

  • @cbrun67176 Yes, I agree.

  • Great song and nobody sings better than Patsy, but men aren't any more to blame than woman.

  • oh my i hav enever heard her sing that song. She did it very nice. thank you for posting this

  • Ive loved patsy cline since ive been able to walk you did a really good job!keep up the good work

  • Well thank you very much! :)

  • @Slickchick19 Where did you get this recording? I thought I had everything Patsy ever recorded....

  • Where did you get this recording? I thought I had everything Patsy ever recorded....

  • sorry folks....nobody ever could compare to Kitty Wells....it's her song.

  • I must admit Kitty did it very well, but Patsy has a nicer voice in my opinion.

  • I too agree with A44038's intent, but not with his lack of civility. Wouldn't it be great to have these young pop-country singers redo the very best of real country music?

  • Making millions of dollars doesn't make it country. Good marketing and good music are not the same thing. I'm not going to bash anybody and I think A44038 went a bit overboard, but I haven't heard anything truly Country by any of the artists he named. I think Carrie has the potential to put out a good Country record, but I haven't seen it yet. And as long as Nashville is going in the direction it's going, it's not going to happen.

  • Okay, Patsy Cline was a fine country singer, but Kitty Well's gave the very best rendition of this song.

  • @A444038 She must be able to sing somewhat..I mean shes sold millions of CDs and been inducted to the country music hall of fame by the age of 25..check your facts before you start bashing people: their out making millions while your left at home running them down in front of your computer

  • I want to hear Carrie Underwood do this......I think she would really to a fabulous job. But not better than Patsy or Kitty.

  • Thanks Frannie for the share 5+*****

  • I don't care who's ever done this before ~ only Patsy can beslt it out so beautifully. Thanx for the post!!!

  • Great song, fantastic singer!

  • BRAVO !!! TRUE WORDS !!

  • A SIMPLER time.. But that voice is from an angel!!

  • Was this from radio WINC in Winchester. its beautiful.

  • The fellow introducing Patsy is Jimmy Dean , so it could be when she was on Town and Country Time ...a Reginal show owned by Connie B Gay

  • The late and great Patsy CLINE was the greatest singer who ever lived in my optinion.

  • i love this version!

    country music rocks!

    xx

    lola

  • patsy cline and anita carter, amazing

  • Beautiful rendition & sentiments

Not quite the same in 2009......

  • she really could sing any thing and make it her own...miss her

  • True Country when country was country!

  • god bless patsy

  • thank you for posting this! my great aunt and uncle were big country and honky tonk fans going back to the begining ( they were born in 1907 & 1903 respectively!) I have many a memmory of my uncle sing this song as a joke to my aunt who was a good gilr and never cheated on her man. and like wise my uncle never cheated on his gal!

  • is nice to see how songs are closely linked to memories!

    what a singer!

  • my uncle johnny brooks was the orginal writer of honky talk angles but he did sing so he gave it to patsy cline he had 4 boys all musicans and now my son has been writing songs since he was 6 years old he has a song thats called thats what daddy do that awesome. mamanbush58

  • i love kittie....but patsy sung this song from the heart, she experienced this song totaly...of course i do have to say i dont think patsy ever sanh anything bad.

  • good post never heard her cover this, but still a cover

  • I had never heard Patsy do this one. With all due respect to Patsy Cline, she was an INCREDIBLE and AWESOME talent and could make any song her own, BUT I much prefer Kitty's version of this song. Kitty's unique, grassroots country voice just lends itself to this type song. There are some songs that just BELONG to certain singers, i.e., "Satan Sheets" to Jeannie Pruitt, "Stand By Your Man" to Tammy, etc., etc. Thanks for posting though; I truly enjoyed hearing it.

  • I fully agree.

Patsy Cline was indeed a wonderful singer, no doubt about.

But this song definitely belongs to Miss Kitty Wells.

    Marie

  • I like the tremolo in the fiddle part starting at 1:42 of the song......

  • Thanks for uploading this xD

    She has an amazing voice.

  • I just listened to Kitty Wells sing this song after someone said to check it out. I agree that Kitty did a good job on her version but OMG Pats is so much better!

I like Kitty Wells as I mentioned before but once again, she was no Patsy Cline!!

  • TRULY unique material!!!!! i love this and Patsy soooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Too many times married men think their still single...that have caused many of good girls to go wrong....

She sang that exactly the same every time?

She was so beautiful. They don't make women like her anymore.

  • very nice!

  • omg...the memories this song brings back...my mother sang it daily when she was alive.....thanks for posting and reminding me of days gone by again...deb

  • I still prefer the Kitty Wells original for this song, but old Patsy had one sweet voice.

  • I love Patsy and she had a lot of hits but this one still belongs to Kitty same as Once A Day belongs to Connie Smith!

  • I completely agree!!! I just made this video for a friend! He couldn't remember what the Patsy Cline version sounded like! Noone can or ever will do it better then Kitty Wells!!! Happy Holidays!

  • Listen I love Kitty Wells but she was no Patsy Cline!

Patsy did a great job on this song, and like everything she sang, you'd find it difficult find someone equal to her!

    Patsy was the greatest ever!!!

  • Sorry, but Patsy owns anything she sings. She was the best singer ever. She could take any song from anybody, make it her own, and just knock 'em out. She was great.

  • @tazznteddy You are so right, just like "Crazy", "I Fall To Pieces","She's Got You" belongs to Patsy

  • @tazznteddy I don`t think others feel the same the about that. or the numbers viewing would be much lower. however, I do agree.

  • @tazznteddy I don`t think others feel the same the about that. or the numbers viewing would be much lower. However, I do agree.

  • @tazznteddy I love Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells, but Dolly Parton's version is the best.

  • Love Patsy - Thanks for putting this on here.

  • thats when you heard the voice and not the music or vocals or second person singing...it was real music back then not to be confused with money making all the oldies were true country stars of music and nashville's angels

  • ndjln122 you did a wonderful job ... thankyou I love Patsy, and the way she could belt out songs.. way to go Patsy. god bless you, Patsy, you were so precious. has any one ever thought how sweet the music must be in heaven!! the very best are up there.

  • Priceless! My mother sang with Patsy several times in Washington, D.C. We still miss her terribly! THANK YOU!

  • nice job patsy

  • What a lovely song. I had a friend visiting tonight,(who was 70 yesterday) and it made her night hearing this song.

  • Your very welcome! I'm glad your friend enjoyed it!

    God Bless

  • Oh my gawd, where did you get this?

  • I have a Cd called, Country Legends Live on Stage! I have never seen another CD like it! It is very rare, and I only found it on E-Bay! Glad you liked the song! I don't think that Patsy Cline ever did record this one in the studeo though!

  • Awesome post, Joyce! Great job, and yes, this is the version, I remember! Thanks kindly, and God Bless, my friend! :c) 5 Star's!

  • Thank you so much Bill! I wasn't sure if I did it or not, but if you can see it, then I must have done it rite! I had a blast making this. Maybe I'll do more, hehehe! Great fun! Well, enjoy!

    God Bless

    Always Joyce :)
