people underestimated the accuracy of cyborgs punches(they werent wild) ..I studied the fight and she had gina all "zeroed in" and poor gina kept throwing long punches even though cyborg was already in her face....gina did well preventing herself from being wrestled down easily though...the couture camp should have had her watch the gsp vs alves fight ...she could have used her weight and height to suppress her opponent, and in effect wear her out (on the ground)..bad coaching/or student

I'm very excited about this fight, though I won't get to see it... My pick is Carano because of her MT record (I don't know how many MT fighters Cyborg has fought) and because of her time with Xtreme Couture (I feel she can stop TDs and dictate where the fight is).

It could wind up looking like one of my favorite fights: Fisher/Stout 2. But with women.

I kind of think carano is going to get this one, she's more well rounded towards the striking side, but it's a fight anything can happen.

Nice analysis Emma. If Cyborg made a proper weight cut today I think her size advantage will play a huge role in this fight, not to mention her aggression and willing to slug it out attitude. I got her by TKO at the begining of the 2nd round.

Win Cyborg in the second round. It is obvious.

Lesnar vs. Fedor analogy is not entirely correct because Fedor would win anytime while Corano would struggle.

It is going to be a stand up fight.

If Cyborg grabs Corano the way she did with her husband during the open training then Gina is doomed.

This is the most important fight for Corano so far. If she makes it all the way to the last bell it would not matter if Cyborg wins.

This is arguably the biggest fight ever in the history of female MMA and I believe the first time Strikeforce is having five minute rounds for women.. Female MMA has advanced so much these past years and I love Gina Carano for helping bring this about, but I hope Cris Cyborg wins and think she can. Women's MMA has reached critical mass and a new era of expansion is about to begin. Carano has had her time and now I believe Cris Cyborg will become the new face and trailblazer for this division.
