Marathon Candy bars were awesome. Unfortunately, like many of the great old things they are no longer made. Very unfortunate. it was one of my favorites.
On another note I heard Hostess was filling for bankrupcy. Perhaps now we will loose our beloved Twinkees. Progress sucks.

Yes, this is the 1st Marathon Bar commercial, followed by the one w/the pirate "Quick Kate" & then the French fur-trapper "Quick Claude" - and yes, Patrick is the Duke's son; his best moment was playing Sinbad in "The Eye of The Tiger" w/Jane Seymour
@heine71 some t.v presenter i believe. i don't actually know, but it was an advert in the 60's-70's. im looking for it because my grandad was in the advert and apparently according to my dad she was in it too and i cant find it anywhere!!
I remember this commercial..I was in the second grade I think when it was being run. I use to think that the little guy who goes, "CHOCOLATE!" at 0:19 was a lady.

@pattersongrove In the UK, there's the similar Curly Wurly bar.
In the US, Marathon is nowadays part of the Snickers Energy Bar line.

Oh wait! I do remember the Marathon candy bar in Puerto Rico! I guess it was a short lived candy bar, as it was replaced with Twix, I believe!
