Okay I order this camera online and got it today....I tested it outside (on the second highest resolution) and then I played back the video on my HD tv using the HDMI cable...I think the video quality is great! I liked it...I mean when you record on a dark place the quality is reduced ...looks grainy but hey what are you ppl expecting from a camcorder that costs $160? To me its a good price for what you get.

you pay for what yo get in this world , cheap crap. mine failed out of the box and that is a bad sign of poor product testing rubbish components use in manufacture

they also have focusing problems / noise focus dive motors/ ,and you can not edit video on the best software available. SPEND A BIT MORE and BUY SOMETHING BETTER

Does it make 1920x1080 progressive or interlanced? Is it 30fps or 29.997 ? Is it saving as avi or mpg or any other codec? What is audio format? I would like stereo 2x44100 16 bits.

The format is progressive 1920x1080p 30 f/s, videos are saved to AVI, the audio format is not adjustable. Ciao

video codec are H.264 the most advanced codec in the World . Bluray are encoded with H264 codec too. Like this video very crisp video
