Happy New Year Dizzy & Popeye! :D Sorry, i'm like the last person to watch your video :P You are my sunscreen expert! I still haven't gotten around to ordering the sunscreens. I just ran out so I think i may do so soon! :D The last blush product looks like lipgloss. tee hee. Hope you are well and thanks for sharing with us! Looking forward to more videos ;) Take care and have a good friday & weekend!!
awww i feel your pain about discontinued products =P
after they discontinued my shampoo/conditioner line, my hair has never been the same =(
have u tried the skin aqua UV whitening moisture gel? it only has spf 25 pa++? its the only spf that isnt too dry and acts as a good base for make up for me although the spf isnt too high =P
@mrdizzybubbles I have it in #2 (berry sort of color that goes on sheer & natural although it looks darker in the tube). MUFE has a light, cotton candy shade I want. I'm partial to bright pinks since I don't wear lots of makeup & it brightens everything up, especially on those sallow days : /
@TTTlois I think sunscreen is sunscreen regardless of department or drugstore. it is-indeed-about preference around price, formula, and sometimes brand loyalty. Thanks for watching;-)
@chicachew Funny that everyone thought this was a review video. Goes to show that I can't help but give my opinion, even on things I haven't used! XD) I.ll be sure to experiment with the taupe and report back;-) PS, Daniel from project Chester connected with me via your channel! I've been watching hi for ages! thanks
@mrdizzybubbles I think you should try either Tarte or Stila Convertible Color - I love them both so much! Hmm....the Stila CC comes in a compact with a mirror so maybe try that one first :)
Loved this video. I have problems finding sunscreens that don't break me out, so these reviews are great. And Popeye!!!!! He's so adorable bundled up.
Cont... Is a paranoia of drugstore SPF being less reliable a valid paranoia?
Or perhaps we might need more of a drugstore pdt of the same indicated SPF as a dept store brand. ( quantity speaking)
skincare guru Paula Begoune ( hope I Spelt her name right) actully advocates cheaper SPF (aka drugstore) simply because u need at least 1/2-1 tsp I seem to recall of SPF for it to be effective.
The sunscreen reviews are most helpful especially because I hate heavy ones and who doesn't love a little coverage in the summer? ;) I def think I need some of those eyeshadows too lol they look so pretty and those are the only two colors I can actually see myself wearing! Wonder if the taupe would be good with a creamier eye primer? Ps love that friggin scarf from urban! ❤
I've been trying out this one from FaceShop - Natural Sun AQ Super Perfect Sun Cream SPF 50+ PA+++ .. so far so good :) really light and doesn't leave my skin feeling oily / smelling like sunscreen (I live in a really humid country + dry skin).
Phew.. I was at the mall the other day and popped into Zellers and Shoppers to look for the Maybelline cream shadow and I was going to pick up those 2 exact colours! Luckily I didn't find them but when I do I'll know to just get the bronze :) I DID pick up a L'oreal Infallible shadow though so we'll see if I like that one!
@gingersweet Oohhh...haven't tried the L'oreal shadows despite rave reviews all over yt. They look really sparkly so I thought I wouldn't make as much use of it. How do you like it? I'd love to hear your thoughts! :)
Too bad shipping from Canada isn't cheap, because I'd be glad to buy the tough as taupe from you. They don't sell those where I live : / Since you can get Maybelline there, I suggest you try the Dream Bouncy Blush Everybody says they're quite good =)
@hananoire You're probably right. By the time I send the product, it'll probably end up costing an arm and leg. But! If you ever need help picking up something, let me know and I can try to help you out:) Can't promise anything though b/c the math and final cost sometimes just doesn't make any sense! Worth a try though! :)
@mrdizzybubbles Aw that is so sweet thank you! What I do is save some pennies here and there and then when I travel I take advantage of the opportunity to buy some of the things I cannot get where I live. That's how I got the new Maybelline Quads ^^
@fcsblog I haven't tried it before. Thanks for the heads up! I will need to do some research to see if the sunscreen ingredients will agree with my skin, but your review is very helpful:) Thank you.
@ennosenze25 It's not being discontinued (or at least not that I know of). I"m just looking for an alternative IN CASE it does. I have the worst luck. It's my fav. and I hope it doesn't go anywhere! :)
Ah nutz! Maybe he/she can re-send when the weather warms up? I thought the Maybelline wasn't available in Canada yet because I haven't seen them yet. Just checked out London Drugs and they were nowhere to be found. I found the Hard Candy blushes to be pretty lame....you do have the NYC creme blushes don't you? If not you HAVE to get them! Great to see you LL! ;-D
@kokolaroo I've seen the cream shadows all over, albeit the displays are often quite empty. Yeah...not liking the hardcandy blushers. Feels like I'm rubbing vaseline on my face with no colour payoff. Haven't tried the NYC b/c it has an ingredient that is supposed to be highly comedogenic; having said this, I haven't heard anything about breakouts from them so I may have to give it a go! PS: I'm sad your package hasn't arrived yet! It's been over a week!
@mrdizzybubbles I just picked up the Bronze and waiting for the Taupe. Their display was hidden so I didn't see it ;-( The NYC cream sticks are totally worth a try. I think they were like 4 or 5 bucks so if they don't work for you it's not a big deal...although a breakout wouldn't be too great. I just went to the PO box today and it still hasn't arrived...I am a bit worried that it got lost. Have you checked the tracking on your receipt? It should tell you where it is...fingers crossed!! xx
Happy New Year to you too!I'm so excited about it,will be fun^^
I was quite surprised when you said you're not a fan of golds, because you always look like wearing golds (maybe it's the lightning)
Anyways, quick little question to you, maybe you've mentioned it in the past, maybe you didn't,I don't quite remember:you have a lot of products you're not satisfied with. What do you do with them?I mean,if you're really don't like them
@LoveKameButterfly I wear a lot of brown clothing and gold jewelry but generally speaking, I don't wear too many warm brown/gold makeup. I'm being more adventurous these days though!:)I try my best to return products if I can, but there are some that I can't and I just have to suck it up and find an alternative usage (i.e. if a face cream doesn't work. I use it as a body moisturizer). I also pass on some products to friends and family. I will admit that some just end up in the garbage! Wasteful!
Very interested in the first two products. Love the idea of lazy days tinted sunscreen! Haha thanks for sharing. Do you think any of the first two bb sunscreens are more on the oilier side?
@oMissMLEo I don't generally wear all over base makeup but I thought it would be good to see if a light tint would make my skin appear clearer and brighter. I will be sure to report back on the bbmilks, as I haven't used either yet. The sunkiller feels a tad more creamy but I truthfully can't say if they are oily. Sorry! I'll be sure to share more soon:)
@pgyqqq I have been looking at the hadalabo one but I think one of the silicones dont work for me. Bah! Darn my sensitive skin!!! xD Will look into the cream cheek..thanks for your rec!
New viewer here :) Definitely subscribing. But I have a question, what are the differences (pros? cons?) to a physical vs. chemical sunscreen? I didn't really know there were differences haha. By the way, have you used Shiseido's Anessa? Just curious. I live in Japan so I have easy access to all the Japanese sunscreens, so I have a lot of options... haha
@tokyoxjapanxfan Thanks so much for joining my channel:) I am def. not an expert in the area of suncare but generally speaking, people who have skin sensitivities avoid chemical sunscreens because they are sink into the skin whereas physical sunscreens create a shield on top of your skin. By sinking in, some think it is more likely to cause irritation. Lots of pros and cons depending on what you read, but perhaps I will share more in a video - running out of room! xD Never tried Anessa. Allergic
I still think you have the perfect laid back, yet professional, type of on camera personality to be doing these types of reviews on TV. You just seem like a very genuine person.
Also, I found it quite interesting that the two Maybelline 24 Hour Tattoo Cream Shadows applied differently. I would have thought 2 items from the same line would have similiar performance charactoristics.
And sorry, I can't help you with blush recommendations. LOL.
@uberaudioexperience Aww...gee...thanks, K:) I think I am more comfortable in front of the camera now. The first few (or 20!) videos were quite awkward and I was even more rambly :) Yeah...I hear what you are saying about the maybelline shadows. But generally speaking, I think matte products tend to have a dryer look or texture - the same could be said about powder shadows, blushes, foundation, etc. You should be a beauty guru by now! xD
@mrdizzybubbles LOL. That last part cracked me up. I am starting to get some of the theory down (need to study up more on the fashion does and don'ts,LOL). But, SURPRISE, I have zero pratical experience. LOL. I guess I am destined to be an "armchair" guru. LOL.
I recently found my HG sunscreen in shoppers drug-mart! (I have dehydrated and sensitive skin and I am Asian) It is a sunscreen from Cliniderm. Its a physical(SPF 45), unscented sunscreen:-)
Your skin looks very healthy & beautiful! Do u wear foundation? I also have a sensitive skin & am looking for a good sun screen. It would be great if u could post which one you like the most from the three. :)
Happy Chinese New Year too! =D Love your video! Thanks for taking your time and sharing the video with us! Which sunscreen did you say is physical? I would love to try that!
@MoonlightMaskMan I have a regular facebook page. My name is Dizzy Bubbs and you are welcome to add me as a friend. I prefer not to make a page because I know I will not update as often as people might like :)
Happy Lunar New Year~ REVIEW on 100% Pure product ... Want to try so bad but still cannot find anywhere selling it ... went to the site you recommend b4 but... seems don't have it. :P Anyway~ Enjoy Holiday??? Are u having holiday in your city too???
@gobihomu I will be sure to offer a review:) Sorry to hear you can't access the 100% pure line. If I come across another site that ships internationally, I'll be sure to share with you. Hope you are having a great new year! It must be so festive in HK:)
i think u can probably scrap some of the cream shadow in tough as taupe with a q tip onto the back of your hand and mix it with some eye cream to make it easier for application..
@poohbearxo0o I'm not sure if they are all oil free or not, but they are all quite light weight. I would say the heaviest one is the Sunkiller one. Having said this, I haven't tried any of them yet so they may feel different once applied. I'll offer a review when I've tried them. Thanks for watching!
@peachy9 I really shouldn't have ordered any more skincare but they were having a really good deal. Argh. I need more will power! xD And thank you for trusting me. I know it's becoming harder and harder to do so here on youtube! ;)
@itismebutterfly Hi:) I've created a link in the info box of my video. Feel free to check them out. Also, Sasa offers a wide variety of products and they are quite reputable. Cheers!
Aww thanks for sharing :-) I dont use sunscreen in the winter.. But my morning moisturizer do have spf15. During summer I used my diorsnow spf55+... Its really good! I liked it so much I got a back up.
@annahkmon I've heard great things about the CD sunscreen but, unfortunately, I'm allergic to one of the sunscreens :( Thanks for the suggestion though! Hope all is well!
@MichyGW Glad to hear you that you like the program. Let me know if you need any tips and pointers. I'm no expert, but I can use the basic functions:)
Hello there~ ex-Madopi here~! My account got hacked and it was just a mess with gmail, FB...etc. Great review as always~! I've used Essence brown cream eyeliner as eyeshadow cream and it works good! Great to see bundled-up baby Popeye♡
@yonaaaaaaful Hi! ;) Sorry to hear that your account got hacked. But thanks for stopping by with your new name:) Hm...haven't heard of Essence before. I will need to check it out! And Popeye love to bury himself in blankets xD
i love your asian makeup hauls! i actually bought the sun bears sunscreen in china its the perfect size and i really like it. i have sensitive skin too, and i had bought a quite expensive kiehls liquid spf and i actually prefer the sun bears one :)
happy new year drizzy, great haul~I was going to try the maybelline color tattoo eyeshadows as well, but they are so hard to find, it was sold out everywear! man...
@lovesweetcrystal Hey Cherry:) I have your new tutorial in my playlist and look forward to watching it tonight:) I managed to find a new display, I think, because it was completely full of all the colours - this was about a week ago though, so I may have just been lucky. Hope you manage to find it!
@fxjoeyy Thanks for watching:) I don't put any products in my hair for the volume but I try to sleep with my hair in a high ponytail. When I release my pony tail in the morning, I tend to have more volume. I also notice that my hair is more volumized when I curl the ends of my hair...the curls make my hair less heavy at the ends. Hth:)
NYX CREAM ROUGE (which is a cream blush) is not bad. You just need to dab a little on your face and it'll give u a natural and healthy glow/colour. And its really inexpensive too!
@honeybee519 I've been looking at the NYC blushes but am a tad worried about the ethylexel palmitate in it - it's recognized as a highly comedogenic ingredient. Having said this, I haven't heard anyone mention breakouts so I may just bite the bullet and get it. Thanks for your suggestions!
@jus2pm I think there are tons of perspectives around which type of sunscreen is better, but generally speaking, physical sunscreens provide a "shield" on your skin that reflects UVA&UVB rays whereas chemical sunscreens get absorbed into the skin and "kill" the rays when the permeate the skin. I am def. not a derm. but that is my very basic understanding:)
@jus2pm I haven't heard that the biore uv face milk is being discontinued but I thought I would start looking early to ensure that I had an alternative :)
Synchronicity! Was just about to step out to look for those exact colors in the Tattoo Cream Shadow because they're always sold out. Also looking for a sheer blush so Hard Candy? And...I got the Biore sunscreen and have it on right now, thinking it was tad too white ...and no surprise, we use the same ebay seller...Even the 100% Pure stuff sold at my local vitamin shop was on my mind...remember when women living in the same college dorms end up on the same cycle? lol.
@bellesalvia Hahah...your comment put a smile on my face. Hard Candy is def. a sheer blush and for some reason the pigmentation doesn't sink or stain my face like most stains/cream blushers. But the colour selection is quite good and you can't beat the price ( I think I got mine for about $5.00). If you end up liking any 100% Pure products, def. let me know. I'm interested in trying more of their products.
Hi Dizzy! I wonder why some companies discontinue wonderful products. I know if they discontinue the sunscreen I like, I'd be bummed. I know how much you rave about that Biore sunscreen, I'm very tempted to order one! I love your blush color btw. I've been trying to find a peach-ish/nude color blush, but w/ no luck. I don't know if it's my yellow undertone, some peach color blush looks orange on me. Happy Lunar New Year to you! :)
@Enchanteralle And it seems that they are always the products that I love! I suppose everyone feels that way though:) Aw...shoot. Sorry the biore sunscreen doesn't work quite as well for you. I'm an NC 25 and find that it blends quite nicely into my skin but we're all different. I'm wearing Nars' Madly with a slight dusting of Benefit Dandelion (my current fav. combination). Chat soon! <3
@mrdizzybubbles Oh I also want to ask if you've try any other 100% Pure products. I rarely hear about them, but since they are natural/organic, I wonder if their skincare products are good (i.e. cleanser, toner, moisturizer). Thanks for talking about them!
I always, always make notes of your review videos, because I find that most of the products that you recommend (or don't recommend) end up holding true, so keep that up! :) It's also a plus that you dabble in the realm of Asian cosmetics -- which is my most recent obsession, haha. Anyways, give Laura Geller whipped blushes a go if you haven't already. I think they're quite amazing despite the heftier price tag.
@fenz15 Aw...Thanks:) I really appreciate your comment and am so happy that my reviews are helpful. Even though this was a haul, I guess I have this urge to offer reviews too:) I will be sure to check out the LG blusher. I think one of my online stores sells LG so I'll wait for a sale. Thanks for watching!
You might like Shiseido's new Urban Environment Oil-free UV Protector. Before with your eye cream because there might be tiny glass shards which could hurt your eyes.
@CasualLuxuries Long time no chat:) Hope all is well! I will keep my eye open for the Shiseido. I won't be using the eyecream for the exact reason that you've pointed out. Just kept the product to share with everyone. Thanks for being so thoughtful;)
@mrdizzybubbles Awe, you remember me hehe, Yes all is well here and how you're doing well too :D Before we know it, Spring/ Summer will be here and the hunt for a perfect sunscreen must be completed lol. I have a list of sunscreens I am going to try out. Glad to hear you're not using the eye cream >_<
Hello, i just wanted to know if any of the sun screens you mentioned today are good for oily skin. as i am very acne pron?

I actually bought it after reading the labels at the local pharmacy/drugstore n was pleasantly surprised you actually had good reviews on it.

I like the Diorsnow SPF 50pa+++ too but I actually find myself preferring this biore one. I have combination skin.

mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
I still think you have the perfect laid back, yet professional, type of on camera personality to be doing these types of reviews on TV. You just seem like a very genuine person.
Also, I found it quite interesting that the two Maybelline 24 Hour Tattoo Cream Shadows applied differently. I would have thought 2 items from the same line would have similiar performance charactoristics.
And sorry, I can't help you with blush recommendations. LOL.
Anyways, Happy Chinese New Year. :)
uberaudioexperience 1 month ago
@uberaudioexperience Aww...gee...thanks, K:) I think I am more comfortable in front of the camera now. The first few (or 20!) videos were quite awkward and I was even more rambly :) Yeah...I hear what you are saying about the maybelline shadows. But generally speaking, I think matte products tend to have a dryer look or texture - the same could be said about powder shadows, blushes, foundation, etc. You should be a beauty guru by now! xD
mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
@mrdizzybubbles LOL. That last part cracked me up. I am starting to get some of the theory down (need to study up more on the fashion does and don'ts,LOL). But, SURPRISE, I have zero pratical experience. LOL. I guess I am destined to be an "armchair" guru. LOL.
Hope you have a awesome week, Dizzy! :)

I recently found my HG sunscreen in shoppers drug-mart! (I have dehydrated and sensitive skin and I am Asian) It is a sunscreen from Cliniderm. Its a physical(SPF 45), unscented sunscreen:-)

i think u can probably scrap some of the cream shadow in tough as taupe with a q tip onto the back of your hand and mix it with some eye cream to make it easier for application..

Happy Chinese New Year! Are the sunscreens oil free & lightweight? interested in trying the tinted ones =)
poohbearxo0o 1 month ago
@poohbearxo0o I'm not sure if they are all oil free or not, but they are all quite light weight. I would say the heaviest one is the Sunkiller one. Having said this, I haven't tried any of them yet so they may feel different once applied. I'll offer a review when I've tried them. Thanks for watching!

the 100% Pure fruits serum sounds good, but I have too many
skincare items to finish, so I'll have to wait a bit on that one :(

Hi I was wondering what do you do to keep your hair so volumized?! Thank you
fxjoeyy 1 month ago
@fxjoeyy Thanks for watching:) I don't put any products in my hair for the volume but I try to sleep with my hair in a high ponytail. When I release my pony tail in the morning, I tend to have more volume. I also notice that my hair is more volumized when I curl the ends of my hair...the curls make my hair less heavy at the ends. Hth:)

NYX CREAM ROUGE (which is a cream blush) is not bad. You just need to dab a little on your face and it'll give u a natural and healthy glow/colour. And its really inexpensive too!

@jus2pm Great! Thanks for your suggestion! :)
mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
Aw, Popeye is so cute! NYC blush sticks & Maybelline Dream Mousse blush are both good :)
honeybee519 1 month ago
@honeybee519 I've been looking at the NYC blushes but am a tad worried about the ethylexel palmitate in it - it's recognized as a highly comedogenic ingredient. Having said this, I haven't heard anyone mention breakouts so I may just bite the bullet and get it. Thanks for your suggestions!
mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
What are the differences between physical and chemical sunscreen? Which is better?
jus2pm 1 month ago
@jus2pm I think there are tons of perspectives around which type of sunscreen is better, but generally speaking, physical sunscreens provide a "shield" on your skin that reflects UVA&UVB rays whereas chemical sunscreens get absorbed into the skin and "kill" the rays when the permeate the skin. I am def. not a derm. but that is my very basic understanding:)
mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
Oh my gosh is biore discontinuing the uv face milk? How did u know about it?

@Dottilicious Hi Suzy!!! I hope you are feeling better:) Not that youtube is a priotiy, but I miss seeing you in videos! <3
Yay:) I've been ordering from them for a few years now and have always had great service!
mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
Synchronicity! Was just about to step out to look for those exact colors in the Tattoo Cream Shadow because they're always sold out. Also looking for a sheer blush so Hard Candy? And...I got the Biore sunscreen and have it on right now, thinking it was tad too white ...and no surprise, we use the same ebay seller...Even the 100% Pure stuff sold at my local vitamin shop was on my mind...remember when women living in the same college dorms end up on the same cycle? lol.
bellesalvia 1 month ago
@bellesalvia Hahah...your comment put a smile on my face. Hard Candy is def. a sheer blush and for some reason the pigmentation doesn't sink or stain my face like most stains/cream blushers. But the colour selection is quite good and you can't beat the price ( I think I got mine for about $5.00). If you end up liking any 100% Pure products, def. let me know. I'm interested in trying more of their products.
mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
Enchanteralle 1 month ago
@Enchanteralle And it seems that they are always the products that I love! I suppose everyone feels that way though:) Aw...shoot. Sorry the biore sunscreen doesn't work quite as well for you. I'm an NC 25 and find that it blends quite nicely into my skin but we're all different. I'm wearing Nars' Madly with a slight dusting of Benefit Dandelion (my current fav. combination). Chat soon! <3
mrdizzybubbles 1 month ago
@mrdizzybubbles Oh I also want to ask if you've try any other 100% Pure products. I rarely hear about them, but since they are natural/organic, I wonder if their skincare products are good (i.e. cleanser, toner, moisturizer). Thanks for talking about them!
Enchanteralle 1 month ago
I always, always make notes of your review videos, because I find that most of the products that you recommend (or don't recommend) end up holding true, so keep that up! :) It's also a plus that you dabble in the realm of Asian cosmetics -- which is my most recent obsession, haha. Anyways, give Laura Geller whipped blushes a go if you haven't already. I think they're quite amazing despite the heftier price tag.
fenz15 1 month ago
@fenz15 Aw...Thanks:) I really appreciate your comment and am so happy that my reviews are helpful. You might like Shiseido's new Urban Environment Oil-free UV Protector. Before with your eye cream because there might be tiny glass shards which could hurt your eyes.
Take care.
