you might want to define aperture in the beginning of the video... i mean i might just be crazy, but to me that seems like a good idea... especially when you video name is What Is Aperture.
Expert Village: "Hey, you, do you speak English?" Random guy: "Uhhh..yeah" Expert Village: "Sweet. Here is a camera, get up there and ramble about whatever you like.." Random guy: "Ok."
Good Adice on the best way to understand is to experience in the field. All of you that are saying this is stupid video and this sucks you shouldnt have even found this video in the first place if your so damm good. Get off your pedestal and make your own video.
This "expert" village video basically said, "Hi, I have a camera. Aperture is important. I don't know anything about it, but I can assure you it's important. You should definitely learn more about Aperture after you finish watching this video because it's so important".
I am not sure what we are supposed to have learned from this....go out and try it for yourself ? sorry I just dont get this at all why post a video ?and about what ?

Here, let me help.
Aperture is measured by f stops or "f/".
f/1.4 = Large aperture, sharp subject, silky smooth blurred background, fast lens .
f/2.8 = Large aperture, sharp subject, smooth blurred background, fast lens.
f/3.5 = Medium aperture, sharp subject, blurred background, okay speed.
f/4.0 = Medium aperture, sharp subject, blurry background, not superman.
f/5.0 = Smaller aperture, sharp subject, background recognisable, slower.
f/22 = tiny aperture, almost everything in focus, snail. etc
