I was 15 when I saw this gig. All I can say is that it blew me away. Dave Grohl has the sort of edge of Bonham but the sound of Peart. However, his own style really shows here.

Dave has great technique and dynamics too. He's fucking great. Tayor is amazing too. He probably knows some more tricks and fills than Dave but Dave is still my favorite drummer. He has the coolest drumming style i've ever seen!

i totally agree. there are a lot of drummer that are technically better than dave grohl. take any douchebag mcgee krock band (well the neo-grunge ones, not the neo-emo ones), they all have technically good drummers, but they can't play like dave. they can't own a beat like dave and deliver a song w/feeling and character. that's why dave grohl is excellend.

well here's also the thing... dave grohl even says that taylor, chad from the chilis and matt cameron are the best drummers in the world. here's the second thing. there's a tons of rock drummers that are technically better. but dave delivers a song with precision, stamina, power, personality, and feeling every time. that's why he's excellent.

I know Dave is a big fan of Dale Crover too, Dale is like a technically better version of Dave but in terms of serving a song Dave is the man. Although I have to say listening to songs like Honey Bucket by The Melvins, Dale can also deliver a song like an absolute monster.

Taylor Hawkins is a better drummer than Dave...there i said it. He has better technique and is far more versatile - dave knows how to hit hard and play loud. Taylor on the other hand has excellent dynamics and technique - he used to drum for Alanis Morissette.

It was recorded on a Fuji E550, a pretty basic camera and yes I was lucky nobody spoilt it by shouting. Well to be hones i think ur all kinda wrong because dave also uses a tecnique called heel toe which mean u can make two hits on the base drum but its as fast as using a double pedal.  And with a bit of practice you can make three hit at double bass speed but only with one pedal. u do this by doin heel to and straight after doin one foot and with practice u can get it perfect and dave fuckin amazing so i wouldnt put it past him
