by the way, which translation did you find that used the word "exalted" when speaking of jesus? Cause all the ones i see say "nay but Allah raised him unto himself" The use of the word exalted fits much better and is not misleading, sometimes i wonder if these translators purposely mistranslate a word or letter??

Many times the translators interpret directly what is read, like Arberry and Irving, while others try to make the interpretation fit the doctrine they are trying to teach, like the Sunni and Shia translations of Yusuf Ali, Pickthall, and Ahmed Ali.

I use the Maulana Ali translation primarily, with the Yusuf Ali Arabic transliteration, followed by Arberry and Irving translations. I return to the original Arabic Quran when I have questions.

That or they will change the translation to suit their needs. The Khalifa translation is a perfect example of that, while the Sunni and Shia translations will more oft than not bracket their 'tafsir'. One, the Istanbul Committee translation, has tafsir inside, as does one Ahmed Ali translation. o_O

I am striving to learn Arabic and Farsi, insha'Allah. The Rosetta Stone language CDs are amazing and I recommend them.

Farsi is the Persian language of Iran.

Khalifa's notes in back are what led me to the conclusion he is a false 'messenger'. He pulled believers out of the hadiths and into his own hadiths; he even incorporates teachings of hadith (prayer, rituals of the Kaaba, Kaaba is the qiblah, etc.) using Code 19 as 'proof'.

If you read his Qurann translation and the original Arabic, you will see how far his translation strays.

I don't believe the Code 19 he uses to 'prove' his hadiths, but I do believe in the Miracle of 19 proving the Quran is pure, protected, and untampered.

Why Rashad? "it is a trial for disbelievers"; read Surah 74. In the Quran we are taught all end up where we are supposed to be.

Some believers are misled because of something in their life they love more than Allah. We just have to do our best to serve to Allah and choose what we follow. I choose what Allah revealed: The Quran.

From Surah 9, add 18 Surahs for a total of 19 then open at Surah 27.

Surah 27:12. How many signs to Pharoah and his people?

From Surah 27:12 add 18 ayats for a total of 19 then read Surah 27:30. Bismillah, Al-Rahman, Al-Rahim.

From Surah 27:30 add 18 ayats for a total of 19 then read Surah 27:48.

How many persons made mischief?

I do not believe there is a mathematical equation that proves you are to pray 5 times a day, face the Kaaba, throw stones at the obelisk, kiss the Black Stone, or any other teaching Rashad places in his Appendices.

Surah 2:2 states "This Book, there is no doubt in it..." Rashad believed hadith and doubted in it, removing two ayats based on his Code 19.

I do not doubt the Quran for I know it comes from Allah; I believe in all of it. The Miracle of 19 is one proof it is pure, protected.
