He has a preferrance for clothes which happen to be culturally coded for "only girls". The problem is that his surrounding constantly tells him that it isn't normal, tries to redirect him. Most kids who are playing with their favorite things, are excited and you can't get them to sit still. This is not about this little boy. This woman's husband seems to be one of those down low brothers and she's doing whatever she needs to hold on to the dad. Did you notice dad does not appear with is wife and son during the interview? How come a parent is going let a child decide for themselves. Then who is the parent and who is the child? Who has the authority? It would be different if this child was already in high school and mature enough to decide what their identity is. But this is just a little child. It is the parents responsibility to shape and mold that child. Being firm about what is appropriate and acceptable for them and what is the norm is not damaging to the child.

@cuppycakemunsters it wasn't necessary to use profanity towards me. What I am saying is that parents need to teach to him to accept and be proud with what he was born as physiologically. If it turns out he is gay when he reaches adulthood then that is his mature decision but he should be a man and vice versa for females. He still can explore by playing with dolls and exclusively with girls but be a strong, sensitive, compassionate, and confident man not woman.

who cares, gender is a spectrum, although i must say that at 2 i question how much the kid really wanted to wear anything special, parents are the ones who buy the clothes, and dress their kids, I question if the mom is now pushing it onto him. Let the kid wear whatever, no one would give a rip if a girl had short hair, wore ripped jeans and a tshirt.

He is at the age when you want to explore and u want to do everything you see. He probably sees his mother dressing up and thinks he could do it too. I could understand that. What I dont understand is why are they encouraging it by saying "I just want him to be accepted and happy"? What exactly is bad about this? I would really like to know why you people believe that a male wearing a dress would contribute to the downfall of society. Clothes are just a way to shield yourself from the elements. Whether someone wears a single sheet of cloth or one that is seperated into two pieces, it still serves the same purpose.

I may not like what I was made to be but I would have to live with being what I was created as. A Zebra can't change his stripes.
