I don't understand why they can't integrate a paper trail system into the electronic system. All they have to do is add a printer to each of the computer unit that prints out a little receipt right after the voter votes. Then the voter can just put that receipt into a voting box. The votes can still be tabulated electronically but when there is a dispute the voting boxes can be opened up and the votes manually count it.

The exit polls showed an overwhelming lead by Obama. The actual votes were inline with the exit polls. That is why they were able to call the election for Obama minutes after the polls closed.
