This movie is so underrated. Danny Boyle's a great director. The reason why his films are so good to watch is because they always have great soundtracks.

@MusicBrad1980 I eventually saw the movie. The song stands on its own merits. That's the beauty of music... we each can take what we want from it. Angelo Badalamenti is a an awesome composer. In response to Lushin187, perhaps I could've simply said, "Hey, I wasn't planning on going to Thailand anytime soon so I can shoot a video to go along with the song. The California coastline will have to do."

The music is cut very well.. but could you please replace the visuals with a better looking beach? Sorry, I know it sounds unappreciative of Earth's natural beauty etc but I looked at the other vid by nhonma76 and it's the same beach from the film.. which is stunning to look at.. Just a suggestion :)

I'm sorry that the California coastal scenery that accompanies The Beach Theme in my video displeases you and Lushin187. Just proves you can't please everyone.

@Lushin187 As you pointed out, nhonma76 already has a video of The Beach Theme with photos of the beach you so admire. So why not just watch nhonma76's video instead of mine if it upsets you? Should all videos of The Beach Theme song use the same images? That would be rather redundant. Are you for real or just being obnoxious?

remember hearing this track in the movie during a pretty average scene and my ears immediately pricked up 'Holy crap what an amazing piece'..looked for it for ages afterward and when I finally got it I put it on my website front page. Needless to say a ton of people wrote to me asking where it came from. This dude knows his tunes.

@Christusolus I would... but I want to avoid potential trouble posting copyrighted material expressly for downloading purposes. There are plenty freely available apps and Firefox add-ons that will permit you to download directly from YouTube. But I have to be careful not to promote that or YouTube could cancel my account.

Glad you found it. Took me awhile too... BTW, there are lots of YouTube download programs available for free, as well as free FLV-to-MP3 converters, in case you want a permanent MP3 of this song. The best and easiest I've found are Grab Pro Recoder (YouTube downloader) and Total Video Converter (convert to MP3 or video). Just Google them; they're completely adware and spyware free, easy to download and take very little space.
