Imagine if some of the 60's models went i nto production, I mean swivel seat and u don't have to drive, man, I feel they were more technically advanced than today, and mind you I'm 16
They are still working on alot of this stuff - Buick had automated test lane on a Cal hwy just a few years ago - and lots of manufactures/universities built autonomous cars -- your young enough you may get to see this stuff on the roads someday --of course that what they said in the early sixties...when I was just a young-in. Alot of things common today started back then -- radio's /nav systems/ power option ( windows and seats were hydraulic in early 50's)
I'm in love with the Velite, however i didnt like the one with the Corvette style roof, its a cool design, but i want a top that takes care of itself :) Not one that pops off and you are left to put it somewhere. I wish Buick would produce the car, a Buick convertible that looks a stunner would be epic........Alas at least Buick is on a much better treck today, guess we shall see what the future holds.
It took decade or more to implement the basic lines of concept on normal car
by the way today i was walking and i saw low Buick Roadmaster 1994 and i found that it has tail boat !! I dont know it has big back and rounded it reminds of the concepts of the Y- job but only the middle of it without the wings 0:51.
over in China Buick is top of the line class and luxury. They do have totally models and building standards. Buick are still really nice cars in in the states to.
and electric cars and front wheel drive were common back in 1890's early 1900's
