I always thought this song inspired the Beasty Boys "fight for you right to party" This is Mathew from Bow wow wow and Paul cook from the Sex Pistols, I saw the guys at the Rock garden in London, great show

It was definatly 1988, I remember it being filmed.

I think it would have to have been made in 1988 as it was the version of the song that appeared on the eponymous album released that year. The single was first issued in 1985 and reissued free with Weekend in 1987.
