This pattern is derived from a leather pattern, but takes advantage of lycra's stretch. The leather pattern had particularly shaped pieces for joint mobility, so I'd suggest searching for: leather glove pattern.
Thank you! I need to make gloves for my Halloween costume, and they need to be a relatively tight. This seems rather simple enough to do, if I take my time.. Thank you! I'll definately give this a try!
my sewing machine wont slow slowley if i try it jamms and i have to forcefully pull the circle thing on the side and it hurts, and i cant do it by hand cuz it stops when i try and turn the circle thing on the side. idk wuts wrong.. ive took it all apart but nothings jammed to make it do that...
@xfreakyemoness I have my machines serviced by a sewing machine shop once a year, or every time I pour custard on them, whichever is more frequent. That means that if they jam (very rare) it's the shop's problem.
I wouldn't say hard, and it's worth giving it a go if you enjoy sewing, but it does take a wee while.
The only reason I ever make gloves is for those rare occasions I want them as a contiguous part of a catsuit's sleeves: For a more normal costume I would tend to try to find and buy something suitable and work it in.

@xfreakyemoness That information's not going to help you unless you live in Cambridge, England. You'll need to consult your local services.

Looks like you can: go to dishmake blogspot com and use the search box in the top left to search for 'half gloves'.
Wow, half gloves - even gloves that consist only of the fingers. And I thought catsuits were odd. :)

How can i make half gloves, lady gaga style?!?! can i use the same pattern and just cut it??

Wow, that's complicated. I want to make a pair of elbow-length gloves for a Sailor Moon costume, but that seems really hard.
