@dalbenton I bought a load of old copies of Smash Hits magazine from eBay a while back and it was great to read them and look back at stuff. The old promotions that breakfast cereal companies ran (like weetabix and the cassette tapes).

I miss Top of the Pops. I think they should bring this show back because X Factor is a pile of bullcrap. It's not JUST a case of nostalgia, it's a case of quality. X Factor is crap because it's about a bunch of looneys who can't sing, trying to impress Simon Cowell, and burst into tears when he says so. TOTP was a proper music program because they have people who already are popstars/rockstars/music artists, and best of all there's no Simon Cowell!!
i really like the top of the pops shows with its legend djs,i really miss the show it was an institution, i actually remember watching it as a kid please dalbenton if you can post more shows ill be more than grateful and good job by the way

@prlad85 thank you very much for posting this show of top of the pops which brings back a load of memories not just to me but to everyone ill be grateful if yo can post more shows from 1986 and 1987. i do miss all the legendary radio one djs who presented the show with my favourites being mike smith,gary davies,bruno brookes,mike read etc in my view and they all made totp an institution for all viewers lets not forget the 80's were the benchmark in pop music and has grown massively .
I miss TOTP from back them. There was something brilliant about TOTP in the 80's - miss it so much
