Son muy caros de construir y mantener y no tengo paciencia :P sólo colecciono modelos Diecast. Tengo 3 A-10 en mi colección pero quisiera uno así, en camo blanco para variar. God I love that plane, first jet model of an A-10 I've seen. It's a shame they plan to replace this thing with the f35b, I just don't think it will fit the role well. I don't think there is really a good alternative to 10 inches of titanium, triple redundant controls, and the largest gun ever to be mounted on a fighter plane firing incendiary rounds. It's just efficient pwnage.

And for others who wonder: a turbo"fan" requires a fan in the front and separate of the core of the engine and pushes a large amount of air past the core turbine thrust itself - hence the term "fan." Their efficiency in that is rated in bypass ratio - the higher the ratio, the more thrust is produced by the bypass, which uses less fuel. That's why those engines are quieter (and more efficient) than older pure turbojets of the 60s and 70s. It would be very hard to replicate on a small scale.

Perhaps the most difficult part to replicate to scale would be the gear reduction. Also, I am not expert in aerodynamics but i think the bypass would make little difference on a tiny engine. But really my whole fascination with turbofans is the noise. Back home A-10s used to fly over my house. I love that eerie howl. That whole machine just scary.
