Thx for watching. Your dog is responding to his ancestors, I guess ha ha.

  • @Skytrooper82d awww

  • omg so cute and cool!

  • @firelight163

Thanks, I thought so too ha ha...

  • where did you find the wolf?

  • @themagicianmaster100

The young wolf was found in Mont Tremblant Park in Quebec, Canada. Thanks for asking and a Happy New Year to you.

  • That was some impressive vocalizing on both y'all's part.

  • @Nanakanisurra

    Yep it was great....

  • I noticed she seems to be mimicking your tone. How cool is that? =)

  • @littlekitsune1

I guess it was pretty cool although I was keeping it non-agressive so as not to scare her...

  • Your dialect is terrible!

  • @cmdrbluegill

Yes there's no doubt. Thanks for watching.

  • awwe i love how he/she kept looking back...=)

  • @newuncertainty

Yes she was a very special wolf and wondering what on earth this human was doing. Thanks for watching.

  • this is now my most favorite youtube video. thank you!!

  • @madleo777

Thank you for your comment. I have often thought back to this video and realized what a wonderful experience I had shared with this wolf.

  • Maybe she thought you were a lost human. :P Only a theory, but I think wolves howl as a way of relaying directions and attack patterns to other wolves over distances. They probably use the moon and trees as marks for their position in relation to the others in their pack.

  • @danieldb631 Interesting commentary.

  • lol for the wolve it's just as unusual seeing a human howling like them, as if we see a wolve speaking english

  • jees i want a wolf so baaad D:

i'm just scared that if i get one if it would turn or not..

  • @w0lfygirl

I would think twice before even contemplating getting one. Even a part wolf, for the most part, is unpredictible. One person whose husband brought one home told me this. She had a two year old boy and often babysat another child for a neighbour. She phoned to tell me that the hybrid wolf was cornering the neighbours child and wouldn't let him out. She wondered if this was dangerous. The hybrid wolf was 6 months old and already showing signs of domination. Please forget it.

  • @w0lfygirl Wolfs really arn't pets and don't cope with domestic environments well at all, it doesn't fit there lifestyle. I'd reccomend a husky but even they are extremely hard to keep as they NEED to be working dogs really. TBH the closest thing the average person SHOULD get to a wolf (in appearence aswell) is a german shepherd. Unless you are a professional. Dogs are great consider a dog well before a wolf haha.

  • @NickBenger Yes, I agree with you that wolves shouldn't be kept as pets as they are very unpredicable, even with only a small amount of wolf. Did you know that the husky is the nearest domesticated dog to be related to the wolf. I have one and he has not been the easiest dog to own even though he is a working dog. So you are quite right.

  • Wow this is brilliant, I wish I could of seen it in person =)

  • Woah.. I used to do this with coyotes but I couldnt even imagine doing that with wolves. You're so lucky! :D

  • I'd be interested with how you did this with coyotes because right now coyotes are my interest, that is if they're not all trapped.

  • Thats awesome :] I used to live in the deserts of Vail AZ right next to a wash where a pack of coyotes roamed around a lot. I went for walks in the evening and would usually see one or two of them strolling together, i'd howl out to them and get a intimidate response howl. It was such a cool feeling.

  • What a beautiful animal.

  • Thank you for saying so. She was beautiful in her soul also.

  • What a beautiful wolf. Gorgeous coat, and gorgeous voice.

  • Yes she was in prime condition and it was so nice to see her this way. Thank you for your comments.

  • Yes wolveywolf, we do have to keep in touch with what's happening. International Wolf in MN talks about the States that are now de-listing the wolf and we won't even go to Alaska to see the carnage they are doing there. Hunters, apparently come before wolves so they are slaughtered without batting an eye. Everything Wolf also has a good site to find out what's going on. Thanks for your comment.

  • awesome!!! :D do you understand thier howls?

its acturally very comlicated to learn

very high whiney sounding piches are sorta call ing to the wolf, kinda like "dont leave me here! or dont' go!!" soemthing along those lines! :3

but i sound just like a wolf

  • Thanks so much. I really appreciate your comment since I can see from your own wolf videos that you are truly THE wolf man...and a darn good artist as well. I also paint and most of my pics are either wolf or bear but I truly admire how the background scenary seems to be just as important as the animals. It gives me a great idea of your country but I wonder what part of Croatia you live in surely not near big cities....

  • One of the best wolf videos I could find on youtube !

  • good start....just keep howling on ha ha

  • Amazing, truly. How to imitate a howl, by the way?

  • Thank you. I guess one has to have heard wolves howling, whether in captivity or rarely, in the wild. I was lucky to have been captivated by a wolf called "Gano" displayed by the Ecomuseum here in Quebec who was easily lured into howling. Besides Mt.Tremblant Park, Algonquin Park in Ontario also provided many occasions to hear wolves. I guess I just pretend to be a wolf by cupping hands around my mouth and of course ha ha holding my head up as I've seen wolves do. Try it...it's lots of fun!

  • I will, I will... now I sound more houndish, but I guess it will improve with practice ;). Thank you for the reply.

  • Wow, i would love to have an experience like that, but unfortunately I live in the southeast asian tropics, at the equator =/ No wolves here, but there are other kinds of wildlife. When I finish my course on animal conservation and zoology in New Zealand in a couple of years I am likely to head north and visit wolves somehow.

  • Yes Larzabeth....I would love to see your video and I remember seeing The Wolf Sanctuary booth at the International Wolf Symposium in Minnesota back some time ago. How can I access your video...I'm a little new to this game ha ha.

  • What a beautiful video. You were so lucky to have been able to interact like that with a wild wolf. I just visited a wolf sanctuary where you get to go in with some of the wolves and get big wolf kisses from them and pet them. It was one of the best experiences of my life! I will never forget it. I absolutely love wolves. This video gets a 5 ♥♥♥♥♥ rating!

  • Thank you Larzabeth for your comments and I must say you also were lucky to get to communicate so closely with the wolves. It must have been a wonderful experience. Only once was I able to pat a wolf that some misguided person had as a pet until it got to be too much to handle and was sent to a zoo. Many people think that the little cuddly wolf puppy they buy will be like a pet dog and forget that it is basically a wild unpredicable animal, but thank you again for your comments. Joan

  • The Wolf Mountain Sanctuary rescues wolves from the movie industry, private owners, and breeders. They have 19 wolves now. They are in desperate need of donations because they are feeling the effects of the poor economy. Their wolves are all different kinds and ages. Unfortunately many types are about to become extinct due to what the bush administration has done. If you want you can see a little video that I posted on my YouTube account of my visit to the sanctuary.

  • Ahhh, sad indeed. How did you photograph her?

  • I was driving through the park very early in the morning when two wolves jumped onto the road and while one was having no part of the two-legged, the other stopped to have a look and I enticed her to stay a bit by giving a humble wolf howl.....

  • Wow, that is so cool! There is nothing better then nature and it's creatures untainted by man!

  • Yes I agree but this was before the Mt.Tremblant Park realized it had a gold mine in these wolves. It would be a little harder now, seven years later, to have this litle female respond to a human howling because the biologists use this technique to find and collar them.

  • How extraordinarily lucky you were to have been part of such a beautiful piece of nature! Wolves are my passion, and we have a Wolf Expo nearby every year and I have many photos of an a Grey Wolf/Artic white wolf on my PC.

  • Thank you so much for your comments. I was so lucky to have been at the right place at the right time.

  • Thank you for your comments. Yes, it was quite an experience and I re-lived it for weeks after with a wonderful joyous feeling.
