  • nice job on the jig!

  • Nice jig, it looks strong and effective, very good design. Only issue with me is the need to bolt it into position, it would be hard to make holes in tool steel for that purpose. Maybe an indentation could be enough to keep it in place? I like the idea of one single jig for the whole process, faster and easier

  • Very nice

  • Very nifty idea!

  • thats awsome....

i love the power of those hammers, moves the steel like its butter :)

and yet you can de so delicate with em... great jig my man, all that work done with one heat..... Brilliant, top work!!!

  • John you are now my new best Jig God....and I mean that...thanks great job!

  • that's nice men! 5/5!

  • cool jig!!

  • Thanks! I decided that making tongs using "traditional" power hammer methods was an ineffective use of time and effort. It also allowed for inaccuracies that could have the potential to waste time and effort later in the process by making corrections.Hopefully this jig solves some of those problems. I have another jig that uses the current jig as a starting point to make bolt tongs. I will post it in the near future.

  • great vid, john!
