  • seems like drumagog isn't meant for death metal...trying to trigger just the bass drum seems impossible for me...I have the full version, and those fast double bass notes aren't picking up...the sensitivity is the highest it'll go, or medium, or w/e setting i put it to, but it just picks up snare hits and other crap...there anyway around this? i'm just looking to trigger my bass drum w drumagog, i got lots of samples but the settings just seem stupid can't get it to work right lol thx

  • @evilbob1001 If the kick drum mic is picking up lots of bleed from the snare, you can use the bleed reduction feature to minimize false triggers. The Bleed Reduction controls are found in the upper left-hand corner of the Settings section. On the track causing the bleed click the “Send” button. On the track where you wish remove the bleed click the “Receive” button. When you play back the project any bleed from the snare track will be completely removed from the kick track.

  • @WaveMachineLabs No the kick drum isn't picking up any bleed from anywhere...It's just that drumagog isn't accurate enough; it either picks up too many hits or too few hits, I just can't seem to get it right in the middle. I re read what I said and actually I made a mistake saying that because it does not pick up snare hits...it just doesn't seem to pick up the bass drum hits at the right time or too few hits... thanks

  • @evilbob1001 The Trigger Filter is also useful in isolating a certain sound that is to be triggered--feel free to email us and we'll help you out: support(at)drumagog.com

  • I've been following these steps using the demo version of 5.11 Platinum in Logic , and its simply not cooperating. There is no change whatsoever.... the kick bleed triggers the snare...I've gone over it several times, closing out Drumagog from the channel strip and starting over again.... What the heck am I doing wrong? Thanks.

  • I am trying to test this Bleed Reduction in the Trial Version but the controls are not there (has "Set Gog Folder" there instead). Is this Bleed Reduction feature in the DGOG 5 trial version?

  • @monstasonix The latest version of the trial version, 5.11, should include all the current features. Check which version you have installed in the bottom-right corner of the setting window to make sure, you may have an older version of the demo installed.

  • the dude sounds like the guy from bigbang theory :)

  • Elaborating on this scenario, what if there are also some tom tracks where there's some snare bleeding into them, could you also send the snare to the toms?

  • @luiza177music In a session, only one track can be set to RECEIVE bleed reduction information from other tracks. As mentioned before, you can set multiple tracks to SEND. If you have other tracks you want to eliminate triggers from, you can still use the other features (i.e. Sensitivity, Trigger Filter, Auto Ducking, etc)

  • awesum improvement...

  • so can you explain this scenario..

lets say the snare track has bleed and the the toms AND kick are being bled into the snare track. now, would the snare track be receive and both kick and tom track be "send" ?

  • @AvalonPress Yes :). Just follow the same steps as above, and also add Drumagog to the kick track and enable the SEND button. The snare track will then eliminate the bleed coming from both the tom and kick track.

  • how does drumagog know which is a snare track, and which is a kick track?

in other words, lets say there were some toms bleeding in on the snare track due to

poor drum miking, how would it work in this case? would the snare still be "receive" and tom be "send" .. i dont understand how this works. your clicking SEND in the Kick, but what are you sending? i mean, how does the snare track SEE the Receive from the send on a different plugin?

  • @AvalonPress It's pretty simple. In your example, with a tom bleeding into a snare, you would insert Drumagog on your DAW's tom track and click the SEND button. Then you would add Drumagog to the snare track and click its RECEIVE button.

Drumagog has its own proprietary system for multiple instances to talk to each other.
