So, I am playing on an iMac version 10.7 with 4 GB memory, and 2.4 Ghz processor. Regardless of my video settings, while trying to load the introductory cutscene with Ascalon and what not, it goes incredible slowly, like 20-50 Kb/s. Will it consistently load the map this slowly? Or is it just a one time thing?
@AvantChase Honestly I can't give a valid opinion. I'm still running 10.6.x and I've got a PC for computer gaming now. Are you talking about the map or cutscene? If it's a cutscene it shouldn't lag because most are saved as video files in the game's directory, but if it's streaming for some reason that could be why it's slow. As far as the map goes, it will save a cache overtime, so yes, at first it will load slowly but overtime it'll get gradually better.
@dotZodiac I'm talking about the loading screen where it shows a picture of your current location, and a progress bar at the bottom. When I posted that comment it was at about 14% percent. Not its at 56%. Hopefully your right about it loading faster later on...
@dotZodiac It's a two year old iMac, but good news is its running perfectly now, I guess since it was the first time I was running Guild Wars on my computer, it had to download some extra stuff, or something. Thanks for the help/.
Hey, I've downloaded the GuildwarsonMac client in 3 seperate files. Can you tell me how I can get the game to work in awhole using crossover/blintwave? Thanks if you can.
You see the thing about this is the fact that you can't run it full screen which is a bummer, also you can't run other windows related stuff using crossover either. If you want a sure fire way of doing this then just use boot camp for christ sakes, I mean a press of the alt key during boot up is easier and less stressful than doing this to your computer AND everything works. Just need to make sure you got the intel chip in your MAC and your golden.
cross over gave me white screen of death i was able to fix it and this is a brand new mac, so i aint gonna go thro tha hassle of doin cross over again..
Yeah, the sample is from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I always liked the song because of the creepy tone it created; it's not really something you hear in most songs today.
I'm not exactly sure if you can load builds as I believe they're coded as Windows specific files; GW wasn't meant to run in OS X so there would be no use to make it compatible. I also make my own builds, so I've never come across the problem. Regardless, if you want to use someone else's, I'm sure you can just find the correct skills in your library and then just get them into your hotbar rather than loading the automatically from a template.

@AvantChase That sounds like it's pretty screwed up, it definitely should not take that long at all. What computer are do you have? Is it old?

@Lopplt I'd help but sadly I'm not familiar with either blintwave or "GuildwarsonMac". You'd be better off asking at a place like MacRumors' forums.

How do you tilt camera view in game on macbook?
IdaDuelort 2 years ago
The only way to do so is with a mouse. You can use any regular mouse and attach it to the computer's USB hub if you want to use one.

Isn't that song from Willy Wonka? The original? It just sounds creepy with that music :S

@macknudsen Yes you can, if you go manage your bottle on Crossover. You can access your «PC's system» from advanced in manage bottle.
I hope it is going to help you ^^

Maybe if you're were literate enough to read the first 15 seconds of the video, maybe you would understand.
I swear, some people are just complete retards.

Well my installation process was basically this (Keep in mind I installed it before upgrading to Leopard; did it in 10.5.9):
1. Ran CrossOver
2. Popped in GuildWars
3. Did the (I think) Quick or Express installation
4. After that was done, I just used it and made an account as if I had windows.
What errors do you get? Maybe you could email them to CrossOver themselves and ask, or maybe just Google the error codes.

how did you that? I only get errors
