  • dogfight

  • i saw a hawk about a week ago take a crow right out the sky. i swear one of the sickest things to watch

  • cool

  • Buzzard.....

  • who won??!!

  • crows can be really aggressive, but a raven is often too much to handle cuz of their size and aggression.

  • This is no hawk; brobably a Common Buzzard. A hawk catches crows and other birds. A buzzard only preys on non flying animals. This is why he can´t easily get rid of the crows.

  • Crows just aren't fast enough to get close to a hawk.. They can annoy the hawk until it gets irritated and goes away, that's about it. They are the kings of the sky around here, such a cool bird. I've seen a hawk swoop on a bird that was no more than 10 feet away from min a tree, it was so fast that I didn't even see or hear it coming, so cool.

  • What a crow does is to get this kind of hawk to chase it so a buddy can come up behind the hawk and deliver a lethal blow ot the head...and the crows might just eat it too!!!

  • everyone...try to watch as well "philippine eagle in the wild" (the video is not in high quality) but you'll see how a female philippine eagle protects her chick from a hawk...so cool. God bless everyone

  • high school memories... watching the birds swooping at each other while your on detention lol

  • crows are hyenas whit wings

  • Crows are very intelligent animals. Dropping hard nuts on roads so that the passing cars can crush it is just one example of that.

  • Crows are to smart some times. If it was one crow vs that Hawk he would have been messed up but no it was a whole tactical flight squad used to attack a enemy ace. The Hawk as the enemy ace is called was on a flight route to attack a Crow colony that was three miles away. The Fourth Flight, thirty-second tactical crow flight left the colony and engaged the Hawk. After hours of dog fighting the Hawk was force to abandon his mission. A Crow colony can sleep safe to night. lol

  • the crows are just bullies picking on the lone guy in a group

  • Crows are way SMARTER, that that enough to give the hawk a run anyday!

  • Angry birds? :P

  • A red tailed Hawk should just destroy those crows. Hawks are fucking large raptors for christs sake. Huge talons and sharp curved beaks. Crows are bland.

  • crows are way better.

  • Crows might be smarter by they could get destroyed by a hawk

  • crows are pussys

  • i got shit on the top of my head by a bird one time.

  • @alfredo6243

Maybe you paid back bad karma or something worse didn't get back to you?

    Thank you?

  • @alfredo6243 I wonder who the dominant species really is?

  • @WinzoIsAEpicFail Neither. They are equally adept in their environments, they just have different cultures.

  • I had a bird chase me on my bike and it tired to bite me that was bad mistake for the bird because I came back with an airsoftgun and shot that fucking thing out of the tree little bastard

  • I was attacked by a Robin while mowing under the tree she decided to nest in, she also attacked my German Shepard who was minding her own business. I was attacked by a Red Winged Blackbird while bicycling on a country road. I've had Seagulls swoop down to take crackers from my hand. I enjoy watching the Hummingbirds that come to my Canna Lillies and had a fabulous 'close encounter' with one when outside wearing a red jacket. Nature is GREAT!!

  • If you want to see some birds really get nasty in the air vs. each other, it's when a flock of seagulls runs into a flock of crows. Particularly when there's some garbage or some other spoils to be had on the ground below. And unlike this, it's much more of an even match. I remember many days of such free entertainment while waiting for the afternoon bus.

  • CRITICAL HIT!

  • I've punched a seagull out of the air before.

  • hahaha crow shat him self when it was 1 on 1

  • i love crows.. and tht hawk probably wanted to eat a baby crow XD never ever mess with a crow

  • Crows win!!!!!!!

    Fail for u hawk

    HAWKS ARE FAILURES

  • crows are no match for a red tail, the crows are just chasing the hawk out of there so the hawk doesn't eat them instead.

  • it remided me of world war too ...5 american airplans agaist one japanese

  • good for the hawk.

  • Did the crows die the hawk? Who won the battle?

  • I've got 3 on my 6

Dam were is my wing man!!

  • I used to see this all the time. A crow can't ever attack a predator bird one on one. They always have to work in packs. And they can't pull it off then, either.

  • hawk will distroy the crow fact.

  • Crows are very smart and some have been known to use TRAFFIC SIGNALS to their advantage. I didn't believe it until I saw the video of a crow dropping a hard nut that it couldn't crack on a red light in the street. When the light turned green the cars crushed the nut and when the light turned red again the crow swooped down and ate the crushed nut. I was amazed

  • eagles need to stop fighting each other and discover their place in the animal kingdom lol, being harassed by a bunch of crows, sheesh. Turn around and kick some crow butt

  • Haha, crows are like the mafia. :D

  • @HereticsGen lol there's another bird. It lays it's eggs in the nests of other species. If the other birds don't take care of its eggs or destroys them. The first bird will destroy the eggs of the other one.

  • If crows are attacking/harrasing a hawk or eagle there is a very good reason why. Both hawks and eagles hunt for crow eggs and hatchlings when other food is scarce. Crows are very comunal, much so than other bird species. You attack one crows nest and you will soon have 100 or more crows after you, basically the extended family of the crows who's nest was attacked. Last week while working on my roof I saw a hawk snatch a full grown crow in mid air, carried it away to eat it.

  • @1tb4life thats true, i remember when i shot down Hooded Crow with air rifle. When a dead bird hit the ground and rest of them (around 30) saw the body, they were screaming like crazy. he luckly died by head shot

  • man and i thought i didnt have a life!! LOL

  • I never understood this and I've seen it many times with crows ganging up on bald eagles....if I was a 15lb raptor I would whoop the crap outta any little punks messing with me

  • Go Pidgey! Use Storm Attack!

  • @WingedSoulies -ICrows are also very bright.

  • This is the only form of wildlife you get to see in Los Angeles .

I love watching these battles take place .

  • Mayday Mayday! This Hawkeye~ I've got enemy bogeys on my tail! Requesting assistance! Evasive maneuvers~! Evasive Maneuvers! Just dodged one~ got another on my right~ oh cr- it's...*schrizt* I'm hit~ I'm hit~ going down, this is Hawkeye I'm goi *schrizt* AaAaAh...*schrzzt~!!*

  • a blue jay was attacking an orange cat yesterday in front of my house....lol...it was swooping and hovering above the cat! XD

  • was he near their nest.. crows are great, smart and loving too.

check out cat and crow are friends vid. we have much to

    learn from animals...

  • Wow! Did you see how FAST that hawk could fly when it took off after that crow! All the crows around here do is harrass other birds and contribute nothing to society or the ecosystem. The mockingbirds try to keep them in check but they're big. A hawk is like a tiger of the bird kingdom (eagles aside since they are rare). I want to see a video of a hawk catching a crow and taking it to the ground.

  • a battle between good and evil >.>?!

who said crows were evil, thier one of the most respectable when it comes to thier crow family

they feed the old and dont abandon any family members O.o

    is it cuz thier black...?

  • @WingedSoulies, Crows in some cultures have been portrayed to as a sign of death (crows eating dead things) and sense some destroy farmers crops and destroy song birds nests they have been portayed as evil. None of the birds are evil, Hawks are like Bears and Crows are like wolves in this case, both are amazing birds.

  • @TheFalconryFan Well said!

  • @WingedSoulies

    Rofled irl.

  • @WingedSoulies If only you could spell their.

  • @WingedSoulies I know, despite of my neighbor being cruel to them, I did a ' social experiment' with North Western Crows living around my house. I earned their trust in about 2 weeks. Two especially remember me and because of my schedule being always different I would actually call- and they would come like a dog responding to a whistle. :D I nicknamed a female "BlackWing" and her brother "Spirit" Blackwing just had her own family... I want to video tape it, because she's been introducing them

  • its a battle between good and evil

  • one day playing my flutes knew but did not know where the eagle was until crows flew in to fight him he started flying then two hawks started chasing fighting the crows....crows remind me man always hollering and fighting...as men at one another...tu

  • not crows dumbass,Ravens..

  • Crows NEVER win this battle....and they know it!!!

  • Those are creagles attacking the hawk, they are mostly bred out of eastern Oregon and Washington to keep an eye on the farmers "Tomato Crops" This crossbreed has been around since late 90's...just dont make eye contact and you'll be safe.

  • "brains" vs "braun"

  • Birds are the most wonderful creatures God put on this earth. They're smart and beautiful!!

Parents, don't be like my dumb father and buy your sons a bb gun because they'll more than likely shoot birds for "the fun of it."

Buy your kids cameras and/or art supplies ... and tell them to cherish these creatures by studying them and reading up on them.

God did not put these wonderful animals on the planet to be used as targets (as my stupid dad thought)!

  • @guyNbluejeans Replace "God" with The Flying Spaghetti Monster and you'll be 100% correct on that comment. RAmen.

  • @guyNbluejeans well... yes your god did indeed put them on here for targets. they do it to each other all the time.

  • @guyNbluejeans Well, the interesting thing is that everyonr has a different opinion on what their god did for what purpose.

  • @guyNbluejeans Ya, i'ma agree with you to an extent. If they arent doing anything wrong, leave them. If they are attacking you dont be afraid to take one out :)

  • @guyNbluejeans your dad sounds fairly smart to me

  • Earlier today I saw 3 crows "attacking" a hawk, along with 2 dozen seagulls circling the hawk. It was weird to see seagulls and crows work together. The hawk was obviously annoyed but not scared.

  • @Lethalhawk Yeah, bull shit! :D

  • I see this everyday. Ive learned to hate hawks.

  • same thing was happening at my house and the hawks screeched and it was LOUD

  • Here in Oakland California, I've actually seen red tail hawks snag pigeons out of the air. But in some of these incidents, CROWS would try to save the pigeon, or prevent their capture altogether. Why would they even care about that? Thats my question.

  • Weird usually Crows dont get along with pigeons and Seagulls are ok with pigeons. Well an Andean Condor would own any of these birds including the eagle!!

  • Since condors are made to eat carrion and not take down live prey...they would not have a chance in hell vs an eagle.

  • they just are hawk haters and wanna piss them.

  • I've seen the same thing at my home. there were 6-8 crows chasing a hawk out of the woods they flew out of and across a large field into another grove of trees. I assumed they were protecting their nesting area.

  • What happens next.....we'll never know!!!

  • "Peck the brains out of other birds"? I'm sorry, but I think that you should read up on crows., and possibly even the red tailed hawk. Crows never try to harm the hawk, they just want to run them out of their territory, and they normally succeed, having far greater flying skills than does the hawk.

  • Haha. Crows having far greater flying skills than a hawk? Silliest thing I read in a long time. Lol. Thanks for the laugh, mr. guesswhoahoe.

  • @bongapendo Crows are smarter.

  • @Antiks72, not the ones in North America. They get themselfs killed thinking they're the top of the food chain.

  • @gesswhoto I'm sorry? Hawks are far better fliers than crows.

  • Actually hawks are much better gliders and their diving abilities are among the best of any bird species after the falcons...But as far as speed, maneuverability, and agility in the air, the crows are better fliers.

  • I have a red tailed hawk nested in a tree by my yard. It gets mobbed daily by crows, cardnials, and jays. We have a few humming feeders set up throughout i wonder if they will pester it too. I have a chinese mainland worth of chipmunks living out there too so its no wonder the hawk took up residence.

  • props to that hawk

  • the mocking bird is the fiercest.they will relentless chase crows, blue jays, squirrels etc. they will double team and dive bomb the other birds and animals.they will follow them from tree to tree for quite a while b4 giving up and leaving.i've watched them for hours.they will almost attack a human if one gets near their nests.they will let you know in no uncertain terms you're not welcome in their vicinity.

  • You can say that again. You can tell when they have a nest by their scolding cluck. They will dive bomb at my head and just miss me.

  • @IrenaScott

I've had magpies dive bomb. Unfortunately for me, they don't miss.

  • @IrenaScott How about get a Osprey over there to kick both of their asses ha

  • @wilmaohman cool send request

  • @wilmaohman I had a baby mocking bird, he was wild, not even the second day i walked inside and he flew on to my head and was chirping like crazy for food, he was already at least two weeks old so I knew he couldn't have registered me as his mother

  • these birds are considered varmints and are very fun to hunt if you get the chance, another big enemy of the crow is the great horned owl, the hawk and owl try to rob the crow nest

  • A Red-Tailed Hawk has almost a 5 foot wingspan. Most hawks don't usually pay attention to smaller birds that mob and harass it, they ignore them and try to do their own thing. However, when they are fed up with it, or they feel threatened they will chase, or even kill one of the birds to make the others back off. Crows and Ravens hunt on occasion, they are usually "Scavengers" though.

  • gg :P

  • Ooh, interesting interactions. I love observing birds at work. Crows especially, as they have been developing very curiously. The hawk here might have to vacate. :O If he doesn't manage to scare them off completely (they're very stubborn, though).

  • But a Crow or Raven's beak, is another weapon altogether. Just a couple of blows and its all over for most of there prey items. So there not really the "scavengers", there often only made out to be after all.......

  • Hey...I thoroughly enjoyed your video. I've been an AVID birder, for the last 15+yrs. It always contiunes to amaze me, the sheer "boldness" Crows & Ravens possess, when mobbing larger birds of prey. I sometimes often wonder, why they are classified as our largest songbirds, when they exhibit many more "Bird of Prey" tendancies. Just the other day, i saw a crow literally kill a gray squirrel. Make no mistake, it wasn't an easy feat for the Crow, especially not having any viable talons to use.

  • Well said.

  • The murder of crows pawned the red tailed hawk.

Have raised a number of crows, but rehabbing a hawk takes a raptor license. Alas...
