I agree the clergy-laity line needs to be wiped, but also that we are in submission to each other. That being said Paul was called both to plant, then provide oversight-again strong biblical evidence for this. If you were part of our community you would know that I could care less if people called me pastor or whatever. Most people just call me by my first name. Let's not split hairs over non salvific stuff. We've got bigger fish to fry i.e. injustice and the oppressed
The religious system like Saul supplants the leadership of God over his people, Jesus Christ as the head of his body the church is to lead us together not any one man. The system has is held together through the laity-clergy, then teach the lie of tithing to support the leadership and system. The church in the home is not an extension of the mother ship that directs them. Not such thing as Rev. Pastor in scripture, no titles either. No one ever called Pastor of a church in scripture
