Since the character in the story isn't real to begin with, his birth can be whatever the authors and clergy decide it to be even if that date doesn't logically correspond to the weather or setting described in the texts-- that day is december 25th both traditionally and *allegorically*.

one can point out positive parts from all those different versions of bibles but that does not make it a reliable source of knowledge to depend on. there are too many flaws in those books that either came straight from the words of God himself...or from the individuals that wrote the books; therefore, neither of them are telling the truth or lack the understanding of a real loving creator.

The more fervent the Catholic, the more fervent the Mary 'honour'. I personally know lots of 'staunch' Catholics and they have more praise and devotion to Mary than they do to Almighty God. @sue200012 Science relies on evidence not faith. Science doesn't just make random assumptions and base them on faith. Besides, when did science come into this? There's tons of evidence for love. It's just a label we give to certain well understood electrochemical reactions in the brain. It has no existence outside the brain. It has no will of its own. It is not an entity that can interact or communicate or act on anything physical.

However, the truth is, it was in those states that we finally allowed the brain to get out of the way and allow us to remember our original state which is LOVE...which is in unity with the ONE you refer to as God

I simply believe that the emotion we call love has a definable cause. Simple, being around friends and family and doing interesting hobbies I enjoy. There are tons of reasons to be happy without god.
