  • violin's part is Epic!

  • Miami Metro Homicide. That's where God wants us to stage Wormwood.

  • As a songwriter myself... I listen to this song for inspiration. An awesome 'unique' song compared to today's trend of metal these days.

  • forever <3

  • af**kingmazing

  • To TheSirAlexander, the first part they are singing is a part of Carmina Burana. ;-)

Just write in taberna quando sumus in google and see for yourself.

  • Lol, they're nowhere near Nightwish. Just because they have a female vocalist?

  • Tristania are a good band. A lot of people accuse them of copying Nightwish, but I don't think they do. I think they've gone their own way.

  • to

Cat3115, the first they are singing is a part of the byble

  • Does anyone know what they are singing at the beginning of the song? I can't find the lyrics anywhere.

  • I can see God's unborn son Playing with a loaded gun All our sins... He'll die for us... Or did somebody lie to us? I can see the shape of God Drowning in a pool of blood A mighty choir of ancient generations sings Behold! The hand of death Squeezing out earth's final breath The stars are falling from the sky And I know why...................
  • I've never interpreted any of the lyrics on World Of Glass as being pro or anti Christian, but more like stories that happen to incorporate some Christian references. The band doesn't seem to be taking sides on the matter or campaigning their beliefs....Questioning maybe? At the end of this song "God is dead" could be from the perspective of someone who is damned at the end of time (e.g. "I've lived to see the end"), whether fictional or nonfictional in theory

  • wat exactly r the lyrics about..i no its using reference from the book of revalation but are they using a "what if God wasnt real perspective?"

  • @LukeSWalker The song is written from an Atheist's point of view (ie. God is not real) and then the atheist realizes that God was real and is now dead. The proposition they play along is "What if God is dead and the world did care?". A combination of the views of Nietzsche and Christianity from an Atheist's perspective.

I especially "Come, join this toast, God is dead..." which in my head means let us enjoy the last moments of existence as the world ends.

  • @ddude2008 ok....thanks! This is a powerful song and dark

  • Maran shut up

    where is the love ?

  • I love Jesus and I don't mind this lyrics, less than the fact I'm spanic, so I can't fully understand them anyways lol

  • how is Jesus not Christ? .... he is pure love ... died for the ones that hated him ..

and trust me, you do not want to base your beliefs on songs.

oh and if God was dead, so would love be ;)

  • there's far more that exists beyond your thoughts.!!

  • Ok don't be closed minded this is just a song are you against movies that uses profanity as well lol..lol

  • well love is a myth ....love is a chemistry between two people

  • @MaranSniper Well... Jesus was probably another desperate citizen of that time, trying to change the society. Raised a revolution of some sort, which kinda failed and as its "leader" he got crucified. A likely story. Anyway, we live in 21st century, pure love and actually any kind of purity seems to have been completely lost since many years even if it has even existed after the dawn of man. Pure or not, we'll all die. So let's just enjoy the good music as we still draw breath. Have a great day!

  • @CodeNameSlipknot Aye love is diminishing, hence the sacrifice that was made to give people another shot at it ^^

  • The only i wana said is, Thaks for listen us

  • God is DEEEEEAAAAAAAAAD

  • is it bad that i'm a christian and this is my favorite song? lol

  • I was Christian to, but much of their songs tell us the truth of who this crhistian god realy is, and for certan he is not the CHRIST!

  • you base your beliefs off of tristania's songs? lol

  • well no! But if you peint atention what thy are tryng to say you will understand that thay know that CORRUPT religion only bring destruction, these are the hidden message in theis songs!

  • haha.. of course i pay attention to what they say my friend.. they're my favorite band, i'm just in denial. i don't want to stop listening to them because they're so good even though they trash my religion... but never the less they have no effect on my beliefs, i'm not that weak minded

  • Very well said my friend, so continue to listen, this is a free world aniway.Therion is also good!

  • changing your beliefs doesnt make you weak minded.. the opposite. you are stronger if you re able to change your opinions. its by far harder to change your opionion than to keep it

  • of course changing my beliefs wouldn't make me weak minded, but changing them due to a song would... it takes more prof and evidence than that to get me to sway even though i am a very open minded person :)... if one is to open minded they can be subject to a belief system that is not accurate and their mind would become currupt.. so .. in any case it is good to guard yourself to an extent but i do aggree with what you are saying

  • Of course not, you can be whanever you want , and listen to anything! lol

  • If I sampled her vocals on a beat would I get sued for copyright infringment?

  • Only if u get money from the creation... If you do it only for fun or academic work, no problem

  • great!

  • dark and magic!

  • Amazing song
