  • Jack you slung this old girl into the lay like you were setting a feather on the ground.

  • happens the best of us.. like to see u do better than him or i pwnyplse.. if your a cutter and that kinda shit hasnt happend to u yet then u must be workin a christmas tree farm

  • Hi Jack!! At the end of vid you are talkin about elevation! Do you have to "tweek" the saws carb at every job? thanx fer the vids!

  • So ive cut wood my entire life, if you were on my lot and you pulled that shit, it would not be long and youd be sent down the road, (OMG) the messed up part about this video is you think that you are a proffesional and you are showing others how you do as well, you cant be doing that. someone is going to get hurt, please people if you have a tree to cut dont follow this video. when im not buzy working ill show you how to cut a tree the right way.

  • @pwnyplse No offense, but you have not been cutting (if you actually are a timberfaller) long enough to know it all...Perhaps you should read the verbage describing the ins and outs of what is going on.Additionally, you might get more insite by asking some questions versus judgment. Furthermore, unless you were standing there at the time, you have no business commenting on right or wrong....In summation, I have other tricks in my arsenal, but if you think I am showing them all, plz guess again.

  • i have watched several of your videos hotsaw, you have more experience than i,but im curious...whats your arguement that an overhand or conventional cut is more accurate?just curious

  • @swersh They do not roll off. Thanks for watching!

  • @hotsaws101 Hey how you been? Could u please post more vids of you felling? Hands down best feller on youtube.....God bless and stay safe:)

  • you should get a go pro helmet camera for the amount of videos you do and then everyone could get a first person view on how to cut it!

  • UMMM, look around and notice that most of the smaller trees are cut. They are MUCH softer on the stump. Soooo , you take on the big, old, and in this strip VERY HARD / some with rocks old growth trees when your chain gets wood dull. Otherwise, you peel the edges back on a fresh chain and would need to change it after you get the tree on the ground anyway. After 5 - 10 years of experience you will have ruined a few chains by then and know what I mean.

    Hope this helps.

  • one advice you so need a sharpning by the time you get done ahhhh yep my grand mother died lol

  • Please clarify your thought here buddy - it does not make since. Thanks!

  • Hi,

One question. Did you leave your snipe open higher on the right to close the left first? If so, when the notch closes first on the left does this drive the tree to the right?

    Thanks,

    Bob

  • Dear Bob, I do not think the stump was sniped on this tree, unless a face and snipe are the same? I will leave less distance between the deck and top of the face cut on one side to TRY to keep the tree from drifting any further. The ceavot is your holding wood > how stringy is it ? The "World's Uglist Stump" shows this a little better maybe.

If you need the tree to land a greater distance left or right then leveraging it on the stump, like with a Dutchmen works better. Does this help?

  • Thanks HS101 for the quick reply. Im not explaining myself real well. Im trying to figure out how you steer these trees that lean. Im trying to learn how the face cut is angled to achieve this.

  • Not to tell you how to do your job but what about protective gear??

    Your movies are very good.

    Thanks Alot Mr Mom4
