The same mac would have cost at least 8k if it were even possible to make, and mine would still blow it out of the water. Adobe premiere coupled with after effects is way better than fcp in my opinion. You guys have no argument with 15% market share. Damn hipsters.

@mini6090 What you should say is this, Buy a pc if you are poor, want to play games and want a bland cheap design full of viruses from the internet. buy a mac if you want to do video editing, music production/editing, photography, have a nice efficient piece of design in your room that has a superior operating system and are not interested in pc games as you have a Ps3 or Xbox 360 for that. i'd say thats pretty honest review for your customers.

I can play the handful of decent looking games that are Mac compatible at the same performance as previously, since the vast majority of them are old as hell by today's standards? I can perform the same mundane, or dare I say "dull", tasks that I could previously, like paying my bills and surfing? I can perform the exact same kind of office related work, but now with an Intel chip doing the work?

@iHydrogenetix Ed, your a dumbass! I bought a macbook pro for $1100 that was a peice of shit, 2.1GHz processor and 2GB of ram. 250GB harddrive. 1100 dollars. I just made and bought my own 900$ DESKTOP that has a 3.4GHz intel i5 processor, amazing graphics card, 8GB of ram and a 500GB hard drive. You tell me which one is better for the price bro.

@bagheadbaby Ye, maybe so. But I've grown up with Mac and when I was small there were only Macs around the house, so it would be hard for me to adapt to a Windows PC. By the way, you can just port the Windows games to Mac, it's pretty simple. :)

Only marketers could consider belittling a company's traditional and largest customer base in favor a new, and at the time somewhat risky, partner, while still trying to sell your product to the aforementioned original customer base at the same time.
(That's not a knock on either PC or Mac. Please don't fall for the artificial divide they try to create. They're both computers at the end of the day. Buy what best serves your needs.)

Really... Freedom and Mac/Apple does not belong together what so ever. Windows is more open than OSX has ever been, and I am not interested in paying 500€ extra for having a fruit-icon on my PC along with a closed off operating system inside it, together with a LOT weaker hardware.
