awesome synth! just to clarify both the JP8000 and the JP8080 are "Analogue Modelling" synths meaning they are both emulations of analogue signal paths if you look in the manual it states this quite clearly- p.8 "the Jp8000 is a synthesizer that not only provides analog simulation..." etc
@djomercohen What do you mean "the JP8000 was better"? It's exactly the same but this is the rack version. Plus it has a vocoder, more buttons (easier to select patches) and it can use memory cards.
@djomercohen because virtual analogue is no different than a vst but with a good soundcard which you can buy and work while using your vst's and get the same sound.
are you able to make dubstep wobble basslines with this. just curious.
can't find a high res pic of the control surface anywhere online. are the LFO's pretty customizable? if possible could you make a vid :D ooh and one more thing... the supersaw waveform for osc1 is that like a pw style waveform or totally different?
Hey man maybe you can help me out, i jsut picked up a roland JP-8000 and i am about to buy a trance sound pack for it, i know you need a midi to usb cable but once i download the pack is it as easy as putting the pack into the icon on my computer or do i need special software?
@kikkerfan That's indeed the function of a synth: creating your own sounds! Thumbs up mate! I've owned a Waldorf Blofeld, and that's, just like the JP8080 a real beast too to tweak, love it!
aww come on, give us the line audio :(

are you playing notes with a midi controller?

Hey, I don't download sounds, so I don't know how this works.
And: you better can create your own sounds! You will more like the sounds when you've created them by yourself...
