If there were not any sub, I could think that Shindong was Hankyung's father, Kangin was Heechul father. This was the first time, fathers of bride and groom met each other.

As far as I know, Hankyung lived with Heechul up until he left for China (with Eeteuk, Donghae and Shindong). It was mentioned in Intimate Note (Super Junior Special). Also, Heechul spoke fondly of Hankyung in his Cyworld, up until Jan 2010. Maybe they just weren't so public with the affection because people seriously believed something was going on between them. It was probably to protect their image. I'll always believe in Hanchul. :)
