One of their best..first saw them do it as an encore at the NEC in B'ham in Dec '86. What a truly amazing show that was...I've still got my ticket stub ! They opened with it on the "under wraps" tour in Nov 87...saw them at Leicester Uni. Was priviledged to see them another 10 times between then and 99. One of the best bands the world has seen. Taught myself to play drums listening to BC and Ringo ! God bless and RIP Stu...Sorely missed.. Stay alive old bean !
What i really like about this video is at 3:54 stuart voice breaks slightly ,he finds it funny and glances over to tony, this bloke is god in my house .Best live act ever .rip Stuart
Somebody correct me if I am to be wrong but wasn't there 100,000 + people at this concert ? maybe more . . . and do Pink Floyd hold the record for the largest attendance to any concert at 120,000+ people? . . .
Does anyone else thing the Keyboard player is totally superfluous? If anything he's a detriment. Not so much on this track, but the version of Wonderland from this concert is kneecapped by 80s synths...
that's Josh Phillips. he's actually a great musician, but i don't think synths ever really fit into BC. i agree, the synths kinda neutered some of the tunes at this gig. a friend was over when i was watching this DVD and when Wonderland came on, he said "this song is really cool except for that 80's synth." funny thing is he'd never heard the song before so i played the original from The Crossing and he loved it.
interestingly, Josh Phillips has played with Procol Harum, as has Mark Brzezicki.
I think Josh Phillips is a waste of space at this concert. His keyboard work spoils The Seer track live, which makes the album version of the same track better. Josh is a great musician, but he is like a square peg in a round hole here.
For me THE best live tune BC ever played - such a shame it was left off many official live releases and compilations (WHY!!!). Maybe someone out there knows different?
Says a lot when the live versions are even better than the studio...

@bigcountryforever that is awesome, I love when something happens and Stuart can react without skipping a single beat.

To this day this track is the only song ever to consistently make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
Simply awesome

This still manages to be awesome though!

Merci Isa, j'aaaddoorrreee.
C'est rare d'avoir une version de ce titre en live. Merci mon amie.
Cette fois je n'ai pas oublié de mettre des étoiles comme pour le pauvre JL.
