Such a happy day when the war ended, but some of the people who had lost their friends couldn't believe it was over. Anybody who died, RIP, you are not forgotten. Lest we ever forge those brave men and women, British, Canadian, American, Russian, Polish, any nationality, any army, let them all be remembered for all time.

in reality, Bankers, who i have no respect for, didnt start the war,. Hitler was determined to undo the wrongs of versaille and exact vengence on those he considered weak and sub human-so he attacked poland. The British showed a well of courage deeper than many realized, more than some could ever aspire to. I am glad my country eventually got involved. I am sorry it took us (USA) so long to get there. It is a beautiful speech and this piece is quite moving.

im not ashamed to say i cried at this.i challenge anyone to not feel a sense of pride at what our people achieved.constantly against all odds.i particularly like the "in all our long history we have never seen a greater day thab this,evbertyone man or woman has done their best" line.whilst there were many determining factors in our victory i firmly believe the single most defining factor in winning the war was the lancaster.you really do feel like defending your nation with an aircraft like that

The British suffered the most,suffered horrendous living conditions and bombings day and night, The Royal Family stuck it out with the people but yet many many more were killed by the Nazis, it took over a year before the US entered the war only because THEY were attacked,I am feel so fortunate i am a member of the British Commonwealth of nations,I do not believe they was or is any such thing as a British coward after everything they went through

Listen, you fucking idiot, if the US had not intervened in WWII you'd be speaking German today. And the US started to help Britain in the early 1940s through covert operations via Iceland. Churchill had to suck FDR's cock to convince him to help Britain fight a horrible war that Hitler would have won without problems. i am british living in the states, loved this video. all i can say to pissflapsmcmahon is get a life. my uncle was in the army and he did 3 tours of northern ireland and he told me that he did not think the irish know what they where over. why would you kill your own people. but then this is only one person's oppion ( sorry about any bad spelling)
